This research examines the use of time in Hebrew children's literature and how historical narratives about the biblical period and beyond formed an arena for narrative conflict between the 1960s and the mid-1980s. The research clarifies the nature of narrative time: the time of events within the story itself (the sequence of events، the rhythm، and the occasional shifts between past and present)، as well as the framing time، which is the historical period the narrator perceives as the backdrop to the narrative. The current study aims to identify university students' attitudes towards reading and its relationship to some demographic variables in the universities of the Sultanate of Oman. They lead a life of failure, repetition, inaction, loneliness, doubt, suffering, and nothingness. The inner wasteland includes many aspects, such as the multi and split identity, the habitual repetitive element of life, the dark sorrowful life the characters lead, lack of communication and relations among them, their unfree, inactive condition, their foggy terrible recollections, loneliness, dryness of love, and uncertainty. The analysis and the illustration of each aspect will show how the inner wasteland is intensified in the selected later plays of Beckett.
