Two series of Schiff Bases [VI]n and thiazolidin-4-one derivatives[VII]n were synthesized by many steps starting from cyclization of 4- hydroxyacetophenon with thiourea in iodine to yield 1,3-thiazole compound which was reacted with pentoxy bromide in anhydrous potassium carbonate to converted compound[II] and this reacted with Phenol to yield azo compound[III]. The azo compound reacted with ethyl chloro acetate in basic medium to get a new easter compound[IV] which is converted to their acid hydrazid[V]. The later compound condensation with n-alkoxy benzaldehyde to give new Schiff bases[VI]n . This study was aimed to investigate the load of bacterial contaminant in fresh meat with different types of bacteria.One handered and seven samples were collected from different regions of Baghdad . These samples included 37 of fresh beef 70 of fresh sheep meat. This paper concerns is the preparation and characterization of a bidentate ligand [4-(5,5- dimethyl-3-oxocyclohex-1-enylamino)-N-(5-methylisoxazol-3-yl) benzene sulfonamide]. The ligand was prepared from fusing of sulfamethoxazole and dimedone at (140) ºC for half hour. The complex was prepared by refluxing the ligand with a bivalent cobalt ion using ethanol as a solvent.
