POLITICAL TRENDS OF CARICATURE: (in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Newspaper)
...Show More Authors

The importance of studying the political trends of caricature in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Newspaper comes from the importance of this magical and satirical journalistic art, as it addresses various trends with satirical criticism that exposes the negative sides and affects the reader’s consciousness in a way or another by contributing to the public opinion about these issues and topics that affect people's lives and their future. Therefore, this art is no less important than the other arts, on the contrary, it complements the other arts and also contributes to the importance of Journalism. Also, the choice of Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Newspaper as being one of the most widely circulated and prominent Arab newspapers, they also give an importance to caricature in a very unique way, it also gets special care as it is used in almost any issue, such as articles, commentaries, investigation, dialogues, and journalistic arts in general. The problem of this research resides in a series of questions as shown below:

1- what are the main political trends contained in Caricatures ?

2- In which way Caricatures are shown ?

Based on the importance of the research and its problem, the objectives of this research  became clear in answering the questions, as it became possible to have a look at the contents of the Caricatures (The research’s topic) as well as the ideas, types and characters, therefore identifying the task done by these Caricatures whether it was uncovering the problematics of phenomena or discussing them or just directing the public opinion against them. By determining the issues of these Caricatures and ideas, repetitions and percentages and also the position they held in Journalism.

It is clear from the foregoing that the analysis of Caricatures in the newspaper Al-sharq Al-Awsat during the time set by the research, has been focused mainly on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict which the center of the Arab world conflict, as well as on the Iraqi issue that involves several complex political crises represented through Caricatures and media in general, while the global issues came afterwards.         We can say that Caricaturists were able to deliver messages to the Arab reader through their drawings, where they can extend their ideas and visions leaving it for the reader to make up his own perception about political events and global crises while inviting him to have an opinion about them. Perhaps this is the educational and informative intention the Caricaturists want to give, which seeks a global communication to be established.

Azo ligand 11-(4-methoxyphenyl azo)-6-oxo-5,6-dihydro-benzo[4,5] imidazo[1,2-c] quinazoline-9-carboixylic acid was derived from 4-methoxyaniline and 6-oxo-5,6-dihydro-benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-c]quinazoline-9-carboxylic acid. The presence of azo dye was identified by elemental analysis and spectroscopic methods (FT-IR and UV-Vis). The compounds formed have been identified by using atomic absorption in flame, FT.IR, UV-Vis spectrometry magnetic susceptibility and conductivity. In order to evaluate the antibacterial efficiency of ligand and its complexes used in this study three species of bacteria were also examined. Ligand and its complexes showed good bacterial efficiencies. From the obtained data, an octahedral geometry was proposed for all p

5-((2,4-dibromo-6-((cyclohexyl(methyl)amino)methyl)phenyl)diazenyl)quinolin-8-ol azo ligand (L) has been synthesized through the reaction of diazonium salt for 2,4-dibromo-6-((cyclohexyl(methyl)amino)methyl)aniline with 8-hydroxyquinoline. The azo ligand (L) was characterized utilizing spectroscopic techniques, including FTIR, UV-Vis, 1H and 13C NMR, as well as mass spectrometry and micro-elemental analysis (C.H.N). Metal complexes containing Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) were synthesized and analyzed through mass spectrometry, flame atomic absorption, elemental analysis (C.H.N), infrared and UV-Vis spectroscopy, along with measurements of conductivity and magnetic properties. The experimental findings suggested that all met

transformations and successive crises the world has witnessed, which have led to ambiguity in the global scene and difficulty in predicting its future trajectories. The COVID-19 pandemic represented a pivotal event that reshaped the balance of international power, revealed the fragility of economic, political, and social structures in many countries, and cast its shadow over the system of international cooperation and global governance mechanisms. In light of these developments, the international system no longer operates according to the traditional rules and patterns that prevailed before the pandemic. Instead, it has entered a new phase characterized by instability, growing geopolitical competition, and shifting centers of power and infl

Pharmacokinetic Consideration to Formulate Sustained Release Drugs: Understanding the Controlled Drug Diffusion through the Body Compartment of the Systemic Circulation and Tissue Medium-A Caputo Model
...Show More Authors

The aim of this study is to provide an overview of various models to study drug diffusion for a sustained period into and within the human body. Emphasized the mathematical compartment models using fractional derivative (Caputo model) approach to investigate the change in sustained drug concentration in different compartments of the human body system through the oral route or the intravenous route. Law of mass action, first-order kinetics, and Fick's perfusion principle were used to develop mathematical compartment models representing sustained drug diffusion throughout the human body. To adequately predict the sustained drug diffusion into various compartments of the human body, consider fractional derivative (Caputo model) to investiga

This work represents the preparation of the starting material, 3-chloro-2-oxo-1,4-dithiacyclohexane (S) using a new method. This material was reacted with, 4-phenylthiosemicarbazide to give (H3NS3) as a tetradentate ligand H3L. New complex of rhenium (V) with this ligand of the formula [ReO(L)] was prepared. New complexes of the general formula [M(HL)] of this ligand when reacted with some metal ions where: M = Ni(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Hg(II) have been reported. The ligand and the complexes were characterized by infrared, ultraviolet–visible, mass, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance and atomic absorption spectroscopic techniques and by (HPLC), elemental analysis, and electrical conductivity. The proposed structure for H3L with Re (V) i

Oxidant or Catalyst for Oxidation? A Study of How Structure and Disorder Change the Selectivity for Direct versus Catalytic Oxidation Mediated by Manganese(III,IV) Oxides
...Show More Authors

Structure type and disorder have become important questions in catalyst design, with the most active catalysts often noted to be “disordered” or “amorphous” in nature. To quantify the effects of disorder and structure type systematically, a test set of manganese(III,IV) oxides was developed and their reactivity as oxidants and catalysts tested against three substrates: methylene blue, hydrogen peroxide, and water. We find that disorder destabilizes the materialsthermodynamically, making them stronger chemical oxidantsbut not necessarily better catalysts. For the disproportionation of H2O2 and the oxidative decomposition of methylene blue, MnOx-mediated direct oxidation competes with catalytically mediated oxidation, making the most
