Employment of Body Language in Television Advertising An Analytical Study of Al-Hayat TV Commercials (The Egyptian Series as a Model)
...Show More Authors

Whatever the designers of the advertisement in choosing the text and spoken phrases, those phrases cannot give or convey the full meaning to the recipient only if this spoken and written language is reinforced with another language based on the signals, movements, and symbols that are displayed using the body or other artistic elements of the advertisement such as pictures, colors, music, effects, and other elements used in the artistic construction of television advertising. All these artistic elements contribute to the completion of the advertising idea and make it ready to be displayed to the public.

Scientists and researchers, in the field of psychology, have relied a lot on this language (body language). And some of them put many interpretations and variety of every movement and every signal made by human beings. Non-verbal language has become very important to know the personality of the human, and how to think.

Moreover, this kind of language expresses deeply hidden feelings. The number of these movements, which those scientists and researchers interpreted, have reached to (130) movements carried out by man without uttering a word to what he wants to say.

Advertisers and designers did not hesitate to rely on this language in presenting their advertising idea. Some of the ads, though, are sometimes devoid of verbal language and only refer to the language of silence. Yet, they proved their success in delivering what they want to deliver to the public.

From this point of view, the researchers in this field decided to find out the extent of using this language in television advertisements based on the survey method, which is the appropriate method to describe the phenomenon (the subject of the research). They, in addition, used the content analysis method.

The two researchers designed an analysis form that included sub-categories of all comprehensive movements of the body, head, limbs, and the body in general. The two researchers have reached important results, the most important of which are:

  1. Al-Hayat TV series focused on the use of body language in its advertisements, believing in the impact of this language on the recipient to reach the speed of response.
  2. The head category was the highest rate used in most ads of the channel because it includes other parts face, eyebrows, nose, ear, and mouth. All these perform a specific language that supports the verbal language.
  3. Beverage ads get the highest percentage in the use of body language.
  4. The superiority of the physical language over the verbal language in the ads of the channel during the recording period of the sample.

The Role of Ginkgo biloba Extract as Monotherapy in Improving the Outcomes of Patients with Metabolic Syndrome: A Pilot Comparative Study with Metformin
...Show More Authors

The present study evaluates the effects of Ginkgo biloba extract as monotherapy on the glycemic status, insulin resistance (IR), body mass index (BMI), and visceral adiposity index (VAI), in addition to the inflammatory markers, oxidative status and leptin level in patients with metabolic syndrome in comparison with metformin.

The study is a randomized, double-blind pilot study conducted during the period May to September, 2020. Fifty patients were recruited in the study and they were allocated into two groups (25 per each group): Ginkgo biloba and Metformin groups, they received (120 mg Ginkgo biloba extract/ capsule) and (500 mg Metformin/ capsule) respectively; orally as a single dose for 90 days. Blood samples were taken at z

Stability and Bifurcation of a Delay Cancer Model in the Polluted Environment
...Show More Authors

It is well known that the spread of cancer or tumor growth increases in polluted environments. In this paper, the dynamic behavior of the cancer model in the polluted environment is studied taking into consideration the delay in clearance of the environment from their contamination. The set of differential equations that simulates this epidemic model is formulated. The existence, uniqueness, and the bound of the solution are discussed. The local and global stability conditions of disease-free and endemic equilibrium points are investigated. The occurrence of the Hopf bifurcation around the endemic equilibrium point is proved. The stability and direction of the periodic dynamics are studied. Finally, the paper is ended with a numerical simul

The function of Feng Shui’s five elements in encouraging urban public space for social interaction. Case study: Al-Arabi and Al-Washash neighborhoods in the Al-Mansour district, Baghdad
...Show More Authors

Motives: This study examines the integration of Feng Shui principles into urban public spaces to enhance social interaction, livability, and environmental harmony. The case study focuses on the Al-Arabi and Al-Washash neighbourhoods in Baghdad, exploring how spatial characteristics influence engagement and energy circulation (Qi) within the urban network. The motivation arises from deficiencies in connectivity, shading, greenery, and water features, which limit social and aesthetic vibrancy. Aim: The objectives are to evaluate spatial and social dynamics through the Feng Shui Public-Space Index (FS-PSI), Space Syntax analysis, and resident surveys, and to propose strategies using Feng Shui design proxies to improve energy flow, acce

A Modified Fama-MacBeth Model based on the Single-Index Model
...Show More Authors

The aim of this essay is to use a single-index model in developing and adjusting Fama-MacBeth.  Penalized smoothing spline regression technique (SIMPLS) foresaw this adjustment.  Two generalized cross-validation techniques, Generalized Cross Validation Grid (GGCV) and Generalized Cross Validation Fast (FGCV), anticipated the regular value of smoothing covered under this technique. Due to the two-steps nature of the Fama-MacBeth model, this estimation generated four estimates: SIMPLS(FGCV) - SIMPLS(FGCV), SIMPLS(FGCV) - SIM PLS(GGCV), SIMPLS(GGCV) - SIMPLS(FGCV), SIM PLS(GGCV) - SIM PLS(GGCV). Three-factor Fama-French model—market risk premium, size factor, value factor, and their implication for excess stock returns and portfolio return

The present study attempts to give a detailed discussion and analysis of parenthetical constructions in English and Arabic, the aim being to pinpoint the points of similarity and difference between the two languages in this particular linguistic area. The study claims that various types of constructions in English and Arabic could be considered parenthetical; these include non-restrictive relative clauses, non-restrictive appositives, comment clauses, vocatives, interjections, among others. These are going to be identified, classified, and analyzed according to the Quirk grammar - the approach to grammatical description pioneered by Randolph Quirk and his associates, and published in a series of reference grammars during the 1970
