The City of Ember is a very interesting novel that is although intended for young readers, have so many layers and messages that are misunderstood. In this research, both the novel and the film adaptation are studied with the intent to decode the warning messages that the novelist and the director tried to introduce to the audience. The research studies four vital messages; the first message is that history repeats itself for the novel has many allusions to the history of Jews and their painful holocaust and even goes back in history the days of Moses and the Exodus, the second message tackles the conspiracy theory that states nothing happens by accident and that everything is planned and connected hence comes the third message

The goal of this paper is to study dynamic behavior of a sporadic model (prey-predator). All fixed points of the model are found. We set the conditions that required to investigate the local stability of all fixed points. The model is extended to an optimal control model. The Pontryagin's maximum principle is used to achieve the optimal solutions. Finally, numerical simulations have been applied to confirm the theoretical results.

     In this paper, two different chaotic dynamic systems are coupled using a semiconductor laser to produce a new chaotic system. These two chaotic systems are Rossler and Chua systems. X-dynamic of Rossler system was coupled optically using optical fiber as a carrier of signal with x, y, and z-dynamics of Chua system. The present study examines the main points of differences in the subject of greetings between the English language and the Arabic language. From the review of the related literature on greetings in both languages, it is found that Arabic greeting formulas are more elaborate than the English greetings, because of the differences in the social customs and the Arabic traditions and the Arabic culture. It is also found that Arabic greetings carry a religious meaning basing on the Islamic principle of “the same or more so”, which might lead to untranslatable loopholes when rendered in English.
