Directional control valves are designed to control direction of flow, while actuators maintain required speeds and precise positions. Magnetorheological (MR) fluid is a controllable fluid. Utilizing the MR fluid properties, direct interface between magnetic fields and fluid power is possible, without the need for mechanical moving parts like spools. This study proposes a design of a four-way three-position MR directional control valve, presents a method of building, and explains the working principle of the valve. This study evaluates the advantages of employing nano-hydroxyapatite in dentistry, particularly for preventive treatment applications. Only electronically published papers were searched within this review. Sources: "PubMed" website was the only source used to search for data. 92 most relevant papers to the topic were selected, especially the original articles and review papers, from 1990 till the 1st of April 2022. The morphology of nano-hydroxyapatite, as well as the structure of its crystals, are close to that of dental enamel.
