News Processing of Corruption Issues in Iraq Satellite Channels

The core idea of this study revolves around the news coverage by Iraqi satellite channels regarding corruption issues and their implications on the public's perception of the political process. The researcher designed a content analysis form encompassing both primary and sub-categories of news bulletins from the channels, Dijlah and Al-Itijah, spanning from 01/06/2021 to 31/08/2021, using a comprehensive enumeration method. The chosen timeframe preceded the parliamentary elections held in October 2021. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach coupled with observation, the researcher derived results that met the study's objectives. Among these findings, news items enhanced with video content topped the categories concerning visual news treatment and reporting. Moreover, news items supplemented with artistic reports ranked highest in the news presentation techniques adopted by the researched channels regarding corruption topics. Political corruption topics led the thematic focus, while administrative and financial corruption ranked second among all themes covered by the channels in their news bulletins. Additionally, the reasons framework stood out as the primary category among all frames discussed by the researched channels.

Fast Overlapping Block Processing Algorithm for Feature Extraction

In many video and image processing applications, the frames are partitioned into blocks, which are extracted and processed sequentially. In this paper, we propose a fast algorithm for calculation of features of overlapping image blocks. We assume the features are projections of the block on separable 2D basis functions (usually orthogonal polynomials) where we benefit from the symmetry with respect to spatial variables. The main idea is based on a construction of auxiliary matrices that virtually extends the original image and makes it possible to avoid a time-consuming computation in loops. These matrices can be pre-calculated, stored and used repeatedly since they are independent of the image itself. We validated experimentally th

International News Agencies Treatment of the Great Return Marches A Case Study of Agence France Presse “AFP”

This study examines Agence France Presse’s (AFP) media treatment of the Great Return Marches in order to identify its contents, the issues it gave attention to, its sources, attitude, techniques, objectives, the journalistic forms used in covering events and the typographic elements used to highlight them.

This descriptive study employed the survey methodology through the use of content analysis method, and the methodology of mutual relations through the use of the case study method. The data was collected by means of a content analysis form. The study was based on the Agenda Setting Theory in the analysis of the study results.
The study sample included (116) news texts from AFP collected during the period from 20/3/2018 to

Preview on the demarcation process of the maritime border between Iraq and Kuwait by using GIS and satellite image (landsat8)

The demarcation in general and maritime borders in particular is an important process between any two states to define their respective regional Borders and their economic resources. This research is focused on the way in which demarcation took place between Iraq's maritime borders on the one hand and the Kuwaiti side on the other. Through satellite technology (Landsat8) and GIS can be identified the area and how the demarcation was done. The most important in addition, positive points of the demarcation have been explained. It was given a full description of the importance of the economic zone and Highlighting Iraq's most important marine facilities. More than one map of Iraq can be integrated and redesigned by GIS. This work has been t

Satellite Images Classification in Rural Areas Based on Fractal Dimension

Fractal geometry is receiving increase attention as a quantitative and qualitative model for natural phenomena description, which can establish an active classification technique when applied on satellite images. In this paper, a satellite image is used which was taken by Quick Bird that contains different visible classes. After pre-processing, this image passes through two stages: segmentation and classification. The segmentation carried out by hybrid two methods used to produce effective results; the two methods are Quadtree method that operated inside Horizontal-Vertical method. The hybrid method is segmented the image into two rectangular blocks, either horizontally or vertically depending on spectral uniformity crit

The Impact of COVID-19 on Healthy Related Issues, A structured Review

Coronavirus: (COVID-19) is a recently discovered viral disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus.

The majority of patients with corona-virus infections will have a mild-moderate respiratory disease that recovers without special care. Most often, the elderly, and others with chronic medical conditions such as asthma, coronary disease, respiratory illness, and malignancy are seriously ill.

COVID-19 is spread mostly by salivary droplets or nasal secretions when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

COVID-19 causes severe acute respiratory illness (SARS-COV-2). The first incidence was recorded in Wuhan, China, in 2019.  Since then it spreads leading to a pandemic.

Imam Yahya bin Saeed Al-Ansari and his jurisprudential views on fasting issues

In The Name of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful

The reason for choosing this topic was:

First: It is my great love for the Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, his family, his companions, his followers, the followers of their followers, and the scholars after them until the Day of Judgment.

Secondly: Showing a great jurisprudential figure who has contributed by speaking about important jurisprudential issues in the life of this nation, and bringing out this immortal book to put it in the hands of scholars, so I chose a figure from the followers (may God be pleased with them all).

Third: The study of the jurisprudence of the companions

Investigations on the Impact of Using Elliptic Groynes on the Flow in Open Channels

This paper presents a numerical simulation of the flow around elliptic groynes by using CFD ‎software. The flow was simulated in a flume with 4m long, 0.4m wide, ‎and 0.175m ‎high ‎‎with a constant bed slope. Moreover, the first Groyne placed at 1m from the flow ‎‎inlet with a ‎constant the Groyne height of 10cm and a 1cm thickness, and the ‎width of Groynes equals ‎7cm‎. A submergence ratio of the elliptic Groynes of 75% was assumed, corresponding to a discharge of ‎0.0057‎m3/sec. The CFD ‎model showed a good ability to simulate the flow ‎around ‎Groynes with ‎ good accuracy. The results of ‎CFD software showed that when using double elliptic Groy

Bioremediation of Soil Contaminated with Diesel using Biopile system

This study was focused on biotreatment of soil which polluted by petroleum compounds (Diesel) which caused serious environmental problems. One of the most effective and promising ways to treat diesel-contaminated soil is bioremediation. It is a choice that offers the potential to destroy harmful pollutants using biological activity. The capability of mixed bacterial culture was examined to remediate the diesel-contaminated soil in bio piling system. For fast ex-situ treatment of diesel-contaminated soils, the bio pile system was selected. Two pilot scale bio piles (25 kg soil each) were constructed containing soils contaminated with approximately 2140 mg/kg total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs). The amended soil:
