This Research deals with estimation the reliability function for two-parameters Exponential distribution, using different estimation methods ; Maximum likelihood, Median-First Order Statistics, Ridge Regression, Modified Thompson-Type Shrinkage and Single Stage Shrinkage methods. This study assessed the quality of hand-dug drinking water sources in Eku and its environs at Eku I, Samagidi, Eku 2, and Okuechi, using the weighted arithmetic water quality index method.
