Cilnidipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker used to improve the neurological outcome following subarachnoid hemorrhage. It belongs to BCS class II drugs that have a low oral bioavailability of 13%, thus preparation as nanoparticles would be expected to improve bioavailability. The aim of the study is to prepare Cilnidipine as nanoparticles using different carriers and co-carriers, concentrations, and types. Cilnidipine nanoparticles were prepared by a solvent anti-solvent method using different carriers (Soluplus®, Poloxamer 188, PVA cold) with co-stabilizers (PEG200, glycerol) at different ratios. Based on the obtained results, formula N4, which included Soloplus in a 5:5:1.19 weight ratio of drug to the polymer to co-stabilizer, exhibited a particle size of 88.89 nm when stirred at 1000 rpm with an injection speed of 1 mL/min. The polydispersity index (PDI) for this formula was measured at 0.2413. Furthermore, formula N4 demonstrated an impressive 92.2% drug content and an entrapment efficiency (EE) of 95.8%, giving 100% release in 30 min.
Background/Aims: The nano-method has been used as a technique for creating novel, non-traditional antimicrobial agents. This effective method for treating infectious diseases has many advantages over conventional antibiotics, including increased efficacy against species that have developed drug resistance, and the ability to circumvent the development of resistance that disrupts a number of biological pathways. As a result, the objective of this study was to synthesize and characterize silver nanoparticles using phenolic compounds obtained from Camellia sinensis. The nanoparticles were then used as antibacterial agents on the multidrug resistant Staphylococcus aureus, as well as, biofilm formation mechanism were also investigated. M

The resulted complexes have been characterized using chemical and physical methods. The study suggested that the above ligands form ionic complexes having formulae [Fe(SCHi)(BA)(Cl)m](Cl)2-m {where SCH, BSCH, BBSCH2, SSCH¬2 or B'SCH2 ligands; m=1 or 2}. Hexacoordinated mononuclear complexes have been investigated by this study and having octahedral geometries. The effect of laser ray type visible region have been studied on solid ligands and

The research included the preparation of cyclic compounds from thiazoles, imidazoles and oxazepines from the reaction of cyclization starting material that acts Schiff bases, which is a raw material in the formation of cyclic compounds from Schiff's(B1) by reaction of 4- aminobenzenesulfonylamide with 4-hydroxyacetophenone which can used to synthesized two lines. The first introducing the preparation of pyrazoles [B4, B5] from ester [B2], which derived to acid hydrazide[B3] with hydrazine hydrate and final pyrazoles obtained by the reaction with diethylmalonate and acetylacetone. The second including prepared the new 1,3-oxazepine1,5-dione derivatives[B6,B7,B8] from adding different anhydrides to the base[B1] as a seven membered ring ; te

Employment of the surplus waste in the mainstream production can resolve these problems. The current study aimed to prepare and characterize a natural composite CaO-SiO2 based bioactive material derived from naturally sustained raw materials. Then deposit this innovative novel bioactive coating composite materials overlying Yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia substrate. Mate-rials and method; Hen eggshell-derived calcium carbonate and rice husk-derived silica were extracted from natural resources to prepare the composite coating material. These processes trigger the secretion of various proteins and enzymes into the saliva. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in saliva during orthodontic tooth movement using different magnitude of continuous orthodontic forces. Materials and Methods: Thirty orthodontic patients (12 males and 18 females) aged 17-23 years with class II division I malocclusion all requiring bilateral maxillary first premolar extractions were randomly divided into three groups according to t

A new two Schiff bases derivatives was synthesized and characterized with studying their biological activity and employed Manganese(II), Cobalt(II), Nickel(II), Copper(II) and Mercury(II) complexes: 2-((Z)-4-((Z)-2-hydroxy-1,2- diphenylethylideneamino)-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-ylideneamino) benzoic acid and (E)-4-(2-hydroxy-1,2- diphenylethylideneamino)-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-one. The first ligand were obtained through are action of Benzoin and 4-Aminoantipyrine while the second result from the condensation of the first ligand with 2-aminobenzoic acid. Ten new coordination compounds were synthesized and structurally characterized: [Co(L1)(Cl)], [Cu(L1)(Cl)] [Ni(L1)(Cl)], [Mn(L1)(Cl)], [Hg(L1)(Cl)], [Co(L2)], [N
