The electric quadrupole moments for some scandium isotopes (41, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47Sc) have been calculated using the shell model in the proton-neutron formalism. Excitations out of major shell model space were taken into account through a microscopic theory which is called core polarization effectives.   The calculated neutron yields from (α, n) reactions are very important in analyzing radiation shielding of spent fuel storage, transport and safe handling. The cross sections of 63Cu (α, n) 66Ga and 65Cu (α, n) 68Ga reactions are calculated for different α-energies using different sets of programs using Matlab language. The values deduced energy is from threshold to Eα= 30 MeV and to Eα= 40 MeV for 63Cu (α, n) 66Ga and 65Cu (α, n) 68Ga respectively. The weight average cross section was then  used to calculate the neutron yields y0 (n/106α) for each reaction .The empirical formula was then suggested to calculate total neutron yield to each isotope.

     The current work was undertaken to obtain the crude extract of PPO and laccase enzyme from the leaves of Malva parviflora. All leaves were washed with tap water, then the extraction was performed to acquire the crude extract’s enzymes. One gram of Malva parviflora leaves was homogenized in various volumes of distilled water (1:10, 1:5, and 1:2 w: v). The results showed that polyphenol oxidase and laccase with a ratio of 1:10 (w:v) gave the highest specific activity of 112.3 with 0.394 U/mg proteins.
