Background: Displaced intracapsular fracture of the femoral neck remain a challenging issue despite the advancement in the ways of treatment .The purpose of this study is to assess the results of different methods of treatment in different age groups. Methods: This study was conducted over a period from (1998-2004) on 26 patients, with ages of 5 – 85 years with intracapsular fracture of the femoral neck due to different insults in Tikrit teaching hospital. The study aimed to evaluate the antimicrobial activity using different concentrations of aqueous and alcoholic extracts of dried lemongrass leaves. Chemical phytochemical tests were performed for aqueous and alcoholic extracts of lemongrass. Antimicrobials activity was tested using agar disc diffusion method against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The results of the study showed that the aqueous extract of dried lemon leaves was highly effective (P≤0.05) against S. aureus, as the inhibition diameter was 22 mm for 50 dilution, while the inhibition diameter decreased to 15 mm for concentration 100. The current study uses the flame fragment deposition (FFD) method to synthesize carbon nanotubes (CNTs) from Iraqi liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), which is used as a carbon source. To carry out the synthesis steps, a homemade reactor was used. To eliminate amorphous impurities, the CNTs were sonicated in a 30 percent hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) solution at ambient temperature. The effects of temperature on an exotic aquatic snail Pomacea canaliculata  (Lamarck, 1819) collected from the Shatt Al-Arab intertidal zone were investigated. A series of laboratory experiments were conducted during the summer period of 2017. Individuals of new born snails hatched in the laboratory from adult snails were collected from Shatt Al-Arab intertidal zone, and subjected to five fixed temperatures: 15, 25, 35, 40 and 45 Cº, after short term thermal acclimation. The heartbeats (HB) were counted at each temperature level. In this paper, the species of the genus of Chlaenius Bonelli, 1810 (Coleoptera, Carabidae) were reviewed, and it was revealed that there are 21 confirmed species in Iraq; among them, the species of Chlaenius hamifer Chaudoir, 1856 was recorded for the first time in Iraq.
Diagnostic characters, a redescription of some of the morphological features, photographs and illustrations are provided for the new record species in this investigation.

Quantum dots (QDs) of zinc sulfide (ZnS) was prepared by chemical reaction with different potential of hydrogen (pH) and used to fabricate organic quantum dot hybrid junction device. The optical properties of QDs were characterized by ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis.) and photoluminescence (PL) spectrometer. The results show that the prepared QDs were nanocrystalline with defects formation. The energy gap (E_g)calculated from PL were 3.64, 3.53 and 3.35 eV for pH=8, 10 and 12 respectively. A new compounds of 2,4-substituted-1,3- thiazole containing amines [I] and [II], Schiff bases [IV] and [V], amides [VI]-[X],esters [XI] - [XIII], thiazolidinones [XIV]-[XVIII] and 1,3-oxazepines [XIX]-[XXV] were Synthesized and characterized by melting points, FTIR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, 1HNMR,13CNMR, dept135and Mass spectroscopy.
