Oscillating Heat Pipe Start-up and Flow Characteristics with Water as Working Fluid
...Show More Authors

Thermal management has grown more and more problematic as electronic components continue to get faster and smaller. One of the passive two-phase cooling systems are Oscillating heat pipe (OHP) that have the capacity to transmit a significant quantity of thermal energy across long distances. Oscillating heat pipe is a device that has the potential to satisfy this developing requirement. An investigation into the effects of orientation, filling ratio, and heat load on the initiation and characteristics of oscillatory motion, combining numerical simulations with experimental validation. A copper tube with a 2 mm inner diameter and a 2 mm wall thickness is used to fabricate the OHP. The condenser, evaporator, and adiabatic sections are designed with lengths of 50 mm, 50 mm, and 150 mm, respectively. Results showed that the onset of oscillation occurs more rapidly with increasing input heat flux values compared to lower heat input conditions. The amplitude variations of the temperature of evaporator raised with the raising of heating power. The curves for the higher heat inputs (60 and 80 watts) appear to have higher average evaporator temperatures throughout the test compared to the 40-watt curve. Oscillation movement in tubes is proportional to charge ratio, and it is observed that it rises as charge ratio increases. It demonstrates that in Closed-loop oscillating heat pipe, a sufficient charge ratio is required to maintain the motion of oscillation.

Working Memory Classification Enhancement of EEG Activity in Dementia: A Comparative Study
...Show More Authors

The purpose of the current investigation is to distinguish between working memory ( ) in five patients with vascular dementia ( ), fifteen post-stroke patients with mild cognitive impairment ( ), and fifteen healthy control individuals ( ) based on background electroencephalography (EEG) activity. The elimination of EEG artifacts using wavelet (WT) pre-processing denoising is demonstrated in this study. In the current study, spectral entropy ( ), permutation entropy ( ), and approximation entropy ( ) were all explored. To improve the classification using the k-nearest neighbors ( NN) classifier scheme, a comparative study of using fuzzy neighbourhood preserving analysis with -decomposition ( ) as a dimensionality reduction technique an

Assessment of Salivary α-amylase and Flow Rate Levels and Their Correlation with Gingivitis and Severity of Chronic Periodontitis (Part: 1)
...Show More Authors

Background: Periodontal diseases are bacterial infections of the gingiva, bone and attachment fibers that support the teeth and hold them in the jaw. α-amylase is an enzyme, produced mainly by parotid gland and it seems to play a role in maintaining mucosal immunity. Aims of the study: Determine the salivary levels of α-Amylase and flow rate and their correlations with clinical periodontal parameters(Plaque Index , Gingival Index , Bleeding on Probing , Probing Pocket Depth , and Clinical Attachment Level ) and the correlation between α-Amylase with flow rate of study groups that consist of ( patients had gingivitis and patients had chronic periodontitis with different severities(mild ,moderate ,severe) and control group . The Effect of Spraying with Plant Extracts on Some Growth Characteristics and Active Ingredients of Basil Plant
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Basil (Ocimum basilicum L.), a leafy plant used for fresh food, medicinal purposes, and aromatic purposes (including the extraction of volatile essential oil and active compounds), was the subject of a worker experiment at the College of Education for Pure Sciences Ibn Al-Haitham / University of Baghdad during the 2023 growing season. The experiment aimed to determine the effects of spraying the basil plant’s vegetative system with aqueous extracts of watercress and parsley on the plant’s growth characteristics and the production of active compounds. The experiment included two factors, the first factor, the aqueous extract of the watercress plant in three concentrations (0, 5, 10
... Show More

Role of Ultrasound in Antenatal Detection of Echogenic Amniotic Fluid and Pregnancy Outcome
...Show More Authors

Background: Ultrasound is a valuable tool for evaluating fetal problems throughout pregnancy. Amniotic fluid anomalies have been associated with unfavorable maternal, fetal, and obstetrical outcomes. Objective: To determine the effect of echogenic amniotic fluid during term pregnancy on the presence of meconium stain liquor and pregnancy outcome. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 1080 term pregnant women who visited Al-Elwiya Maternity Teaching Hospital from May 1st, 2021, to May 1st, 2023. Ultrasound was used to analyze echogenic amniotic fluid and turbid liquor. The liquor state was tested either after an artificial membrane rupture in the vaginal delivery trial or during a cesarean section. Results: Echogenic amni

Collection, Storage and Protein Extraction Method of Gingival Crevicular Fluid for Proteomic Analysis
...Show More Authors

Gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) may reflect the events associated with orthodontic tooth movement. Attempts have been conducted to identify biomarkers reflecting optimum orthodontic force, unwanted sequallea (i.e. root resorption) and accelerated tooth movement. The aim of the present study is to find out a standardized GCF collection, storage and total protein extraction method from apparently healthy gingival sites with orthodontics that is compatible with further high-throughput proteomics. Eighteen patients who required extractions of both maxillary first premolars were recruited in this study. These teeth were randomly assigned to either heavy (225g) or light force (25g), and their site specific GCF was collected at baseline and aft

Introduction/Aim. Seminal fluid analysis (SFA) plays a crucial role in helping infertility clinics diagnose the underlying reason of male infertility. The aim of the study was to investigate seminal fluid patterns of male partners of an infertile couple with apparently fertile female partners. Materials and methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted between January 2019 and December 2022. Patients were attending consultations for delayed conception for more than 12 months with apparently fertile female partner. Results. Four hundred fifty-three patients were included in the study. The distribution of patients according to age groups showed that 277 patients were young, aged 21 - 30 years (61%). Two hundred sixty-two (58%) patien
