Background: Large amounts of oily wastewater and its derivatives are discharged annually from several industries to the environment. Objective: The present study aims to investigate the ability to remove oil content and turbidity from real oily wastewater discharged from the wet oil's unit (West Qurna 1-Crude Oil Location/ Basra-Iraq) by using an innovated electrocoagulation reactor containing concentric aluminum tubes in a monopolar mode. Methods: The influences of the operational variables (current density (1.77-7.07 mA/cm2) and electrolysis time (10-40 min)) were studied using response surface methodology (RSM) and Minitab-17 statistical program. The agitation speed was taken as 200 rpm. Energy and electrodes consumption had been studied and modeled. Results: The results revealed the positive effect of the electrodes design on the studied responses. Conclusion: Under the optimum values of the operating variables (5.675 mA/cm2, 40 min), 85.982% and 84.439% removal efficiencies of oil content and turbidity respectively were obtained and the consumption of energy and electrodes were observed as 4.333kWh/m3 and 0.36 g respectively.
In this study, the adsorption of Zn (NO3)2 is carried out by using surfaces of malvaparviflora. The validity of the adsorption is evaluated by using atomic absorption Spectrophotometry through determination the amount of adsorbed Zn (NO3)2. Various parameters such as PH, adsorbent weight and contact time are studied in terms of their effect on the reaction progress. Furthermore, Lagergren’s equation is used to determine adsorption kinetics. It is observed that high removal of Zn (NO3)2 is obtained at PH=2. High removal of Zn (NO3)2 is at the time equivalent of 60 min and reaches equilibrium, where 0.25gm is the best weight of adsorbant . For kinetics the reaction onto malvaparviflora follows pseudo first order Lagergren’s equation.
Removal of direct blue dye by electrocoagulation method has been investigated using aluminum electrode in a bench-scale electrochemical system. Current density, NaCl concentration, electrocoagulation time, and dye concentration has been studied as effecting parameters in color removal efficiency. Increasing of current density will increase the color removal efficiency and energy consumption as well. While increasing NaCl concentration increase the color removal efficiency but it decrease energy consumption. High dye concentration is needed for extra electrocaogolation time to reach the same efficiency that obtained with low dye concentration .With current applied 0.35 amps. and NaCl concentration of 2 g/l more

Private international transport companies transport foreign engineering from the oil fields to Iraqi airports and vice versa, and other international security companies take action to provide protection for foreign engineering experts during transportation. Hence, this process is very costly.

The effect of applied voltage, initial concentration of cadmium, cathode rotation speed, and pH on the reaction rate constant (k) was studied. The results showed that the cathodic deposition occurred under the control of mass transfer for all applied voltage values used in this research. Accordingly, the relationship between logarithmic concentration gradient with time can be represented by a first-order kinetic rate equation. It was found that the rate constant (k) depends on the applied voltage, the initial cadmium concentration, the pH and the rotational speed of cathode. It
