Abstract:  Two different shapes of offset optical fiber was studied based on coreless fiber for refractive index (RI)/concentration (con.) measurement, and compare them. These shapes are U and S-shapes, both shapes structures were formed by one segment of coreless fiber (CF) was joined between two single mode (SMF) lead in /lead out with the same displacement (12.268µm) at both sides, the results shows the high sensitive was achieved in a novel S-shape equal 98.768nm/RIU, to our knowledge, no one has ever mentioned or experienced it, it’s the best shape rather than the U-shape which equal 85.628nm/RIU. The fuzzy sets theory has been applied in many fields, such as operations research, control theory and management sciences, etc. In particular, an application of this theory in decision making problem is linear programming problems with fuzzy technological coefficients numbers, as well as studying the parametric linear programming problems in the case of changes in the objective function. In this paper presenting a new procedure which connects and makes link between fuzzy linear programming problem with fuzzy technological coefficients numbers and parametric linear programming problem with change in coefficients of the objective function, then develop a numerical example illustrates the steps of solution to this kind of problems.

It is well-known that the existence of outliers in the data will adversely affect the efficiency of estimation and results of the current study. In this paper four methods will be studied to detect outliers for the multiple linear regression model in two cases :  first, in real data; and secondly,  after adding the outliers to data and the attempt to detect it. The study is conducted for samples with different sizes, and uses three measures for  comparing between these methods . These three measures are : the mask, dumping and standard error of the estimate.
