2(2-Tetrahydropyranylthio) methyl cyclopropyl amines were synthesized from allylmercaptan through several steps. The structures of the intermediates and the final products where confirmed through IR, NMR and elemental analysis, these compounds may be of value in the treatment of diseases  where free radicals are implicated in their pathogensis, since the thio and the amino groups of the synthesized compounds may act as free radical scavengers.

    The LiCoMnO₄ spinel compound was prepared by a sol–gel method. Structural measurements were utilized to investigate the characteristics of LCMO powder. The powder crystallizes in the space group Rd-3m, with a trigonal crystallinity structure, according to XRD analysis (hexagonal axes). SEM images showed that the crystalline grains sizes were about 200 nm - 350 nm, which provides large surface area. The sample had soft magnetic characteristics, according to hysteresis behaviour analysis in the Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). The prepared material is thought to be a candidate for the applications of energy storage in lithium-ion batteries.

Actinopolyspora iraqiensis IQ-H1 is a novel strain of actinobacteria isolated from extremely halophilic soil samples in Iraq. The performance of single and two stage solar concentrator were studied ' " The ratio of the primary to the secondary mirrors diameter is taking to be 0.5, depending on the theoretical calculation for the accumulated energy by the concentrator with ratio between 0.0 to 0.9. The design of the systems were designed and examined by using a ray-tracing program. The efficiency of the single and the two stage concentrators are calculated and compared with and without cooling systems.

The last decade of this 20th century provides a wide spread of applications of one of the computer techniques, which is called Fuzzy Logic. This technique depends mainly on the fuzzy set theory, which is considered as a general domain with respect to the conventional set theory. This paper presents in initiative the fuzzy sets theory and fuzzy logic as a complete mathematics system. Here it was explained the concept of fuzzy set and defined the operations of fuzzy logic. In this paper, A.C conductivity of micro and nano grain size- TiO2 filled epoxy composites is measured. The dielectric material used is epoxy resin, while micro and nano-sized titanium dioxide (TiO2) of grain size (1.5μm, and 50nm) was used as filler at low filler concentrations by weight (3%, and 5%). Additionally the effect of annealing temperature range (293-373)º K and at a frequency range of 102-106 Hz on the A.C conductivity of the various specimens was studied.
