The unresolved COVID‐19 pandemic considerably impacts the health services in Iraq and worldwide. Consecutive waves of mutated virus increased virus spread and further constrained health systems. Although molecular identification of the virus by polymerase chain reaction is the only recommended method in diagnosing COVID‐19 infection, radiological, biochemical, and hematological studies are substantially important in risk stratification, patient follow‐up, and outcome prediction.

Background: Urological anomalies are frequently associated with anorectal malformations which are a common source of significant morbidity.

Objective: Is to evaluate the incidence and nature of the urological anomalies with patients of anorectal malformations (ARM).

Patients & methods: The data  from  95 patients with ARM were studied from January 2009 to January 2012 in this cross-sectional study. All patients underwent sonography of urinary tract. Voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG) was done in patient with abnormal sonography & to all male patients with ARM who underwent colostomy. Other imaging studies were done in selected cases.

     Water balance as a technique is considered one of the means that is relied upon in solving significant hydrological problems. The soil and water assessment tool (SWAT) model was used in this study to assess the water balance in the Wadi Al-Mohammadi basin located at the eastern edge of the Western Desert. Digital elevation model, soil data, Land use - Land cover, and climate data represent the most important requirements for the SWAT model's input as a database. Groundwater quality investigation has been carried out in the western part of Iraq (west longitude '40°40). The physicochemical analyses of 64 groundwater samples collected from seven aquifers were used in the determination of groundwater characterization and assessment. The concept of spatial hydrochemical bi-model was prepared for quantitative and qualitative interpretation. Hydrogeochemical data referred that the groundwater is of meteoric origin and has processes responsible for observed brackishness.
