Background: Tumor associated tissue eosinophilia (TATE) has been described in a variety of neoplasms. In regard to squamous cell carcinoma, some studies worldwide done to assess stromal eosinophilia in oral and cervical squamous cell carcinoma. The objectives of this study is to evaluate the association of stromal eosinophilic infiltration of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and to detect the significance of this association. Aim of the study The aim of our study is to establish the relationship between the degree of stromal eosinophilia and the level of invasion and the histological grade in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: In this retrospective study done at the histopathology department of al Wasity teaching hospital for orthopedic and plastic surgery in Baghdad, all paraffin embedded blocks for excisional biopsies diagnosed as primary cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma from December 2015 to January 2017 were retrieved. Incisional biopsies and those with margin positive tumor cells were excluded. After a careful evaluation for histological grading and assessment of level of invasion according to an established histological criteria , the assessment of tissue eosinophils was done by three pathologist through counting eosinophils in tumor stroma in 10 high power field using a light microscope and categorized as none (0,),low (1-4),medium (5-19)and high (more than 20). Results : of 56 cases of primary cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma 48(85.7%) cases were conventional .The mean age was 43.14 ± 1.76 .Regarding conventional squamous cell carcinoma ,of 48 cases 30(62.5) were well differentiated,16(33.3%) had clarck level III,18(37.5%) had clarck level IV and 14(29.1%) had Clark level V .There is a significant statistical relationship between histological grading of tissue eosinophilia and level of invasion with p value 0.044 and a non-significant relationship with degree of differentiation. Conclusion :The majority of cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas were conventional well differentiated with a mean age in the fifth decade of life ,a male predominance and often had a degree of stromal eosinophilia that is strongly associated with the level of invasion .Thus more Intense tissue eosinophilia is correlated with a higher level of stromal invasion. The significance of such an association should be regarded as either a potential predictive tool for stromal invasion in small incisional biopsy or as a prognostic indicator that could be included in the pathology report for conventional squamous cell carcinoma
The first aim of this paper was to evaluate the push-out bond strength of the gutta-percha coating of Thermafil and GuttaCore and compare it with that of gutta-percha used to coat an experimental hydroxyapatite/polyethylene (HA/PE) obturator. The second aim was to assess the thickness of gutta-percha around the carriers of GuttaCore and HA/PE obturators using microcomputed tomography (
The concerns about water contaminants affect most developing countries bypassing rivers over them. The issue is challenging to introduce water quality within the allowed limits for drinking, industrial and agricultural purposes. In the present study, physical-chemical parameters measurements of water samples taken from eleven stations were collected during six months in 2020 through flow path along the whole length of Tigris River inside AL Kut city (center of Wassit government) were investigated for six parameters are total hardness TH, hydrogen ion pH, biological oxygen demand BOD5, total dissolved solids TDS, nitrate NO3, and sulfate SO4. The water quality analysis results were compared with the maximum allowable limit concentrat

However, evaluating and comparing their compressive performance is complicated by differences in formulation parameters such as density, aging, and crosslink density. This study proposes a standardized normalization approach to evaluate compressive properties across diverse RPUF formulations by adjusting all data to a common reference density. Samples were subjected to controlled aging conditions and analyzed using dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) to investigate the relationship between crosslinking behavior and mechanical performance. The results demonstrate

This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of red cell distribution width (RDW) and neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in the detection of DN in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This cross-sectional study included a total of 130 patients with T2DM, already diagnosed with T2DM. The albumin creatinine ratio (ACR) in urine samples was calculated for each patient, according to which patients were divided into two groups: with evidence of DN when ACR ? 30 mg/g, and those with no evidence of DN when ACR < 30 mg/g. According to multivariate analysis, each of disease duration (OR

The microbial fuel cell (MFC) was provided with zeolite-packed anodic compartment and a cation exchange membrane (CEM) to separate the anode and cathode. The performance of the proposed MFC was evaluated in terms of COD removal and power generation based on the activity of the bacterial consortium in the biofilm mobilized on zeolite bearer. The MFC was fueled with real pharmaceutical wastewater having an initial COD concentration equal to 800 mg/L and inoculated with anaerobic aged sludge. Results demo

and stems and studying their antibacterial activity against five different bacteria.
Methodology: Calendula officials were selected to carry out this study. Flowers, leaves and stems were collected from
local markets in Baghdad then dried in shade for 7 days and grinded to fine powder. Aqueous hot extracts for 2hr. at
(100c˚) and alcoholic extracts for 48 hrs at (80c˚) were performed using flowers, leaves and stems then studied
antibacterial effect against five different bacterial genuses by using well diffusion technique.
Results: This study showed that hot aqueous extracts for 2hr. to all parts of Cale
