A series of new Schiff bases and 1, 3-Oxazepine derivatives have been synthesised from condensation compound (1,1 -bis (4-aminophenyl) -4-phenyl cyclohexane [C1] with different aromatic aldehydes in the presence of catalytic glacial acetic acid to produce the Schiff bases [2-4]. These Schiff bases were reacted with maleic anhydride and phthalic anhydride in dry benzene to give seven-membered heterocyclic ring derivatives [5-10].  The structure formula of these compounds were confirmed by using FT-IR, (¹H and ¹³C) NMR spectroscopy. The synthesized compounds were screened for their anti‐bacterial activity using ampicillin as a standard drug.

Expired drug Metoclopramide was investigated as an antibacterial corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel in 0.5M H₃PO₄ solution using the electrochemical method at 30^oC and 60^oC. The results showed that this drug is an efficient inhibitor for carbon steel and the efficiency reached to 82.244 % for 175 ppm at 30^oC and 76.146% for 225 ppm at 60^oC. The adsorption of drug on carbon steel surface follows Langmuir adsorption isotherm with small values of adsorption-desorption constant. We have carried out multi color CCD surface photometry on the spiral galaxies NGC 4800 and NGC 2715 using 1.88 m optical telescope of Kottamia Astronomical Observatory. From these observations, the surface brightness, Ellipticity, position angle and color indices profiles are studied. Stellar populations in different regions of the galaxies are analyzed using color indices diagrams. We found that the galaxy NGC 4800 has a diffuse bright nuclear region and the asymmetry of the bar is due to the nonuniform distribution of dust in the galaxy.
