Abstract<p>The new ligand [3,3’-(1,2-phenylenebis(azanediyl))bis(5,5-dimethylcyclohex-2-en-1-one)] (L) derived from 5,5-Dimethylcyclohexane-1,3-dione with 1,2-phenylenediamine was used to prepare a new chain of metal complexes of Mn(ii), Co(ii), Ni(ii), Cu(ii), Cd(ii) and Zn(ii) by inclusive formula [M(L)]Cl2. Characterized compounds on the basis of 1H, 13CNMR (for ligand (L)), FT-IR and U.V spectrum, melting point, molar conduct, %C, %H and %N, the percentage of the metal in complexes %M, Magnetic susceptibility, thermal studies (TGA), while its corrosion inhibition for (plain steel) in tap water is studied by weight loss. Complexes of Cr+3, Ni+2 and Cu+2 with the ligand 2-(p- nitrobenzoyl) thiobenzimidazol) (L) were prepared and characterized by FT-IR ,UV-Visible, TG analysis ,Atomic absorption spectroscopy , Molar conductivity and magnetic moments measurements .The general formula has been suggested for all the prepared complexes [Cr(L)2Cl2]Cl.4H2O, [Ni(L)2(H2O)2]Cl2.2H2O and [Cu(L)2(H2O)2]Cl2.2C2H5OH to be an octahedral geometry. A theoretical treatment of these compounds in gas phase was done using HyperChem.8.7 program. Semi –empirical PM3 method was performed to evaluate the ∆H° ƒ, ∆ Eb and ∆ET for all compounds, also vibration frequencies, electronic spectra and electrostatic potential HOMO and LUMO energies for the ligand was estimated to de

Synthesis and Structural Study of Some Mo(II) Carbonyl Complexes with Triazole and Oxadiazole Derivatives
...Show More Authors

A new carbonyl complexes of triazole and oxadiazole were synthesized. These complexes were identified and their structural geometric were suggested by using FT-IR and UV-Vis spectra, conductivity measurements and other chemical and physical properties. The spectra data (FT-IR, UV, Vis.) with the substantial aid of group theoretical calculations gave so many evidences for the proposed geometries and the type of bonding of these compounds

Synthesis of new Schiff bases and nucleoside analogues derivatives derived from D-Glucose and their biological activity study
...Show More Authors

Inthis study new derivatives of Schiff bases and nucleoside analogues have been synthesized from the starting material D-glucose after a series of reactions. Derivative 1 was prepared from D-glucose then react with P-bromoacetophenone gave derivative 2 was reacted with dimethyl sulfoxide and acetic anhydride for dehydration a molecule of water gave 3. The spiro ring was prepared at 3-position from the reaction of 3 derivative with 1-phenyl-2–thioureagave 4. The protection group at 1 position was removed by using acetic acid fllowed by periodate oxidation to obtain 6. Reaction of 6 with hydrazide derivative at once and dtriazole derivative at another gave 8 and 9 respectively. Compound 6 was reduced to gave derivative 7. The 1-hydroxylgrou

This study was aimed to use plant tissue culture technique to induce callus formation of Aloe vera on MS. Medium supplied with 10 mg/l NAA and 5 mg/l BA that exhibit the best results even with subculturing. As the method of [1] 1g. dru weight of callus induced from A. vera crown and in vivo crown were extracted then injected in HPLC using the standards of Ascorbic acid (vit. C), Salysilic acid and Nicotenic acid (vit. B5) to compare with the plant extracts. Results showed high potential of increasing some secondary products using the crown callus culture of A. vera as compared with in vivo crown, Ascorbic acid was 1.829 ?g/l in in vivo crown and increased to 3.905 ?g/l crown callus culture . Salysilic acid raised from 3.54 ?g/l in in vivo c

Synthesis , Physicochemical Studies and biological estimation of new mixed ligand complexes from hetrocyclic compounds
...Show More Authors

The purpose of this research is to synthesize a new mixed ligand Schiff base complexes of Co(II),Ni(II),Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), and Hg(II),which are formulated from the Schiff base (L) that resulted from orthophathalaldehyde (2-PA) with 4-chloroaniline(4-NA). Diagnosis of prepared Ligand and its complexes is done by spectral methods as 1H–NMR, mass spectrometer, FTIR, UV-Vis, molar conductance, elemental microanalyses, atomic absoption and magnetic susceptibility. The analytical studyofall new complexes has shown octahedral geometries. Organic performance study of ligand Schiff base and its complexes reveals different activities agansit four types of bactria; two gram (+) and two gram (-) .

Synthesis, Characterization, And Antibacterial Activities Of Manganese (II),Cobalt(II), Copper(II) ,Iron (II), Nickel (II) And Cadmium(II) Mixed- Ligand Complexes Containing Amino Acid( L- Lysine) And 1,10-Phenanthroline
...Show More Authors

The research includes the synthesis and identification of the mixed ligands complexes of M(II) Ions in general composition [M(Lyn)2(phen)] Where L- lysine (C6H14N2O2) commonly abbreviated (LynH) as a primary ligand and 1,10-phenanthroline(C12H8N2) commonly abbreviated as "phen," as a secondary ligand . The ligands and the metal chlorides were brought in to reaction at room temperature in ethanol as solvent. The reaction required the following molar ratio [(1:1:2) (metal): phen:2 Lyn -] with M(II) ions, were M = Mn(II),Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Fe(II) and Cd(II). Our research also includes studying the bio–activity of the some complexes prepared against pathogenic bacteria Escherichia coli(-),Staphylococcus(-) , Pseudomonas (-), Bacillus (-)
