In this paper a measure of linear local dependence has been used between two
random variables and a study is conducted for the properties of this measure where
two examples of bivariate probability distributions has been considered, which are
bivariate Gumbel distribution and bivariate Beta-Stacy distribution, and applied on
data collected by using a questionnaire conducted to study the reasons for the
increase of application in private collages in Iraq. Five elements has been considered
as random variables and the dependence has been measured between every two
elements to estimate how correlated these elements are and their effect on the
application in private collages of Iraq generally and Baghdad specifically.<

Together with the chromatographic application, the physical and chemical characteristics of the rocks are examined.       In this study, uranium concentrations were evaluated and the annual effective dose was calculated from the consumption of bottled water and tap water used for drinking in Babylon, middle Iraq. Uranium isotopes (²³⁸U, ²³⁴U, ²³⁵U) were determined for all samples collected using the phosphorylation analyzer technique represented device (KPA). The aim of the current  study is to determine the elastic properties  of carbonate rocks using ultrasonic method.  Forty rock samples of  Anah formation  were collected at  different depths from  four wells drilled at the study area . The relationship between wave velocities and elastic properties of rocks was defined. Regression analyses to define these relations were applied. The results indicate that the elastic properties of the rocks show a linear relationship with both P- and S-wave velocities. The best relationship was obtained between both Young's modulus and Shear modulus with Vs in the determination of the coefficient ( R²  ), with values of 0.91 and 0.94,  respectively.&n
