Allium ampeloprasum extract has the potential to facilitate wound healing due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. In this study, we aimed to investigate the potential wound-healing activity of the methanol extract derived from Allium ampeloprasum. Using 30 healthy male Wester rats; control group: 15 rats; normal saline applied locally instead of plant-extract. Experimental group: 15 rats received a daily local application of 200 mg/kg of the plant extract. Then, for each healing period of 0, 5, or 10 days, each group was divided into three-subgroups: A, B, and C, each with five rats. There was a significant difference in the percentage of wound contraction between the control and experimental groups (p 0.02). Moreover, at the 5 and 10 days healing periods, there was a significant difference in the inflammatory cell count, the experiment group showed a greater reduction in the inflammatory cells compared to the control group. Measuring the epithelial thickness revealed that the experiment group had considerably thicker epithelial layers (p 0.04). Allium ampeloprasum extracts have shown promising activity as wound-healing promoters. These extracts have many benefits in the management of acute wounds due to their capacity to increase wound contraction, minimise inflammatory cell infiltration, and boost epithelization.
Background/purpose: Dental implantology involves different treatments that have been used in conjunction with dental implant surgery to increase implant stability and bone regeneration process. Photobiomodulation( PBM) can be one of these techniques. The objective of this study was to evaluate the bone density around implants. Materials and methods: in this study, 10 individuals had 20 implants inserted in the posterior of their mandibles. each patient received two implants the left side served as the control whereas the right side served as the study group with a diode laser (same patients). measurements were made for each implant. Measurements were obtained using cone-

All cotton swabs are cultured initially on blood agar and MacConkey agar and subjected for standard bacteriological procedures for bacteriological diagnosis. Twenty samples out of sixty are identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa by conventional methods. The results of antibiotic susceptibility test illustrate that the antibiotics resistance rate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates is as follows:100% (2020) for ceftriaxone, cefepime and carbencillin, 70% (14/20) for amikacin, 65%(13/20) for tobramycin, ceftazidim and gentamycin,

Pseudomonas aeruginosa was the commonest pathogen, isolated in 48.14% of swab samples, followed by Klebsiella pneumoniae (31.48%), Staphylococcus aureus (27.77%), Acinetobacter baumanii (14.81%), Escherichia coli (7.40%), and Citrobacter freundii, Providencia stuartii, Enterobacter cloacae, with 1.85% isolation percentage for each. All bacterial isolates were tested against 19 antibiotics, and showed multi-drug resistance to 10 antibiotics, or more. The most effective antibiotics were the fifth-generation cephalosporin, ceftobiprole, and and antibiotic combinations, as Ceftazidime / clavulanic acid, and Cefoperazone /sulbactam, an

Guava belonging to the Myrtaceae family, many previous studies reported many phytochemical constituents in its leaves that have many pharmacological activities and medicinal properties; this study focuses on the isolation, structural elucidation and calculation concentration of flavonoids, assessment of the cytotoxic activityof hyperin from Psidium guajava leaves newly cultivated in Iraq. The isolation process involved the use of thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and preparative high-performance liquid chromatography (PHPLC) and structural eluci

Objective: To evaluate two kinds of extraction (aqueous and ethanolic) for coriander using seeds, leaves and stems and
studying their antibacterial activity against nine different microorganisms.
Methodology: Coriander was selected to carry out this study. Seeds, leaves and stems were collected from local markets in
Baghdad then dried in shade for at least 10 days and grinded to fine powder. Aqueous hot extracts for 1hr. at (50
c) and
cold extracts for 24 hrs at (4
c) were performed by using seeds, leaves and stems then studied antibacterial effect against
nine different microorganisms by using well diffusion technique. Cold aqueous extracts of coriander seeds for 48 hrs. and
72 hrs and ethanolic extraction
Despite the recognised importance of green onion as a nutritionally and medicinally valuable crop in Iraq, its production heavily depends on chemical fertilisers, which degrade soil fertility and environmental quality. Although organic manure, biofertilizers, and micronutrients such as boron individually improve soil health and crop performance, limited information is available on their integrated application under local agro-ecological conditions. In this regard, an experiment was conducted during the 2024-25 fall season at the fields of College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, Iraq to study the effects of integrated nutrients managements on growth, yield and quality of bunching onion (Allium fistulosum)
