The present work was aimed to form the baseline data of normal morphological and histological structure features of liver in migratory starling (Sturnus vulgaris). Anatomically, the starling liver bird was dark red -brown in colour and located in the cranial third of the abdominal cavity and consisted of undivided lobes (left and right). Carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA 19-9) levels were measured in sera and tissues of 40 patients with breast cancer (01), 8 patients with prostate cancer (G2)and 12 patients with thyroid cancer (G3), by the enzyme­ linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique.
