Objective: To evaluate the knowledge and practices of nursing staff at the orthopedic wards relative to
nursing care presented to patients with femur fractures.
MethodologyThe sample consisted of (50) staff nurses was selected out of orthopedic wards of five
teaching hospital in Baghdad city for duration 15th Nivember 2001-15th of January 2002.
For the purpose of data collection, two instruments were constructed. First, observational
checklist for the practices measurements and second, knowledge test for the evaluation of the nurse

It is known that the oral administration of ibuprofen caused an irritation of stomach as a side effect due to its carboxylic moiety. Ibuprofen ester was synthesized by linking the carboxylic moiety of ibuprofen and the hydroxylic group of paracetamol to reduce its side effect. Study the kinetic hydrolysis of prepared ester was examined at different values of physiological pH (1.0, 5.8, 6.4 and 7.4) at 37 ± 0.1 of 1 hour period. Objective: The present study aimed to shed light on the role of narghileh and cigarette smoking on immunity status of oral cavity by assess (C3 complement component, Immunoglobulin A, Total protein, α-Amylase and EBV IgG antibody). According to the prevalence of multidrug resistance bacteria, especially Pseudomonas aeruginosa, in which the essential mechanism of drug resistance is the ability to possess an efflux pump by which extrusion of antimicrobial agents usually occurs, this study aims to detect the presence of mexB multidrug efflux gene in some local isolates of this bacteria that show resistance towards three antibiotics, out of five.
