Synthesis and Characterization of Tri-Composite Activated Carbon
...Show More Authors

Activated carbon loading with metals oxides is new adsorbents and catalyst, which seem very promising for desulfurization process. The present study deals with the preparation of three metals oxides loaded on activated carbon (AC). The tri composite of ZnO/NiO/CoO/AC was characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray florescence (XRF), N2 adsorption for BET surface area, pore volume and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). The effect of calcination temperature is investigated. The best calcination temperature is 250oC based on the presence of phase, low weight loss and keep at high surface area. The surface area and pore volume of prepared tri composite are 932.97m2/g and 0.6031cm3/g respec

Preparation and Characterization of γ-Al2O3/Al Composite
...Show More Authors

A cermet (ceramic-metal) composite have been prepared from alumina (γ-Al2O3) reinforced with aluminum (Al) for the concentrations of (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, & 50) wt. %Al. The cermet was formed by single axial pressing, sintered in vacuum atmosphere. Compaction behaviors were studied in solid state sintering at sintering temperatures (400, 450, & 550) °C, sintering times (2, 4, & 6) hrs., and forming pressures (5, 10, 15) MPa, also in liquid phase sintering at (800 °C). The cermet was characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and by scanning electron microscope (SEM), also physical and mechanical properties have been studied. SEM results showed the Al flowing inside the ceramic body due to uniform distribution of Al particles a

Stability and Dynamic Analysis of Laminated Composite Plates
...Show More Authors

Buckling and free vibration analysis of laminated rectangular plates with uniform and non uniform distributed in-plane compressive loadings along two opposite edges is performed using the Ritz method. Classical laminated plate theory is adopted. The static component of the applied in- plane loading are assumed to vary according to uniform, parabolic or linear distributions. Initially, the plate membrane problem is solved using the Ritz method; subsequently, using Hamilton’s variational principle, linear homogeneous algebraic equations in terms of unknown are generated, the set of linear algebraic equations can be solved as an Eigen-value problem. Buckling loads for laminated plates with different combinations of bounda

Two Phase Approach for Copyright Protection and Deduplication of Video Content in Cloud using H.264 and SHA-512
...Show More Authors

Cloud computing offers a new way of service provision by rearranging various resources over the Internet. The most important and popular cloud service is data storage. In order to preserve the privacy of data holders, data are often stored in cloud in an encrypted form. However, encrypted data introduce new challenges for cloud data deduplication, which becomes crucial for big data storage and processing in the cloud. Traditional deduplication schemes cannot work on encrypted data. Among these data, digital videos are fairly huge in terms of storage cost and size; and techniques that can help the legal aspects of video owner such as copyright protection and reducing the cloud storage cost and size are always desired. This paper focuses on v

Experimental and Prediction Using Artificial Neural Network of Bed Porosity and Solid Holdup in Viscous 3-Phase Inverse Fluidization
...Show More Authors

In the present investigation, bed porosity and solid holdup in viscous three-phase inverse fluidized bed (TPIFB) are determined for aqueous solutions of carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) system using polyethylene and polypropylene as  a particles with low-density and diameter (5 mm) in a (9.2 cm) inner diameter with height (200 cm) of vertical perspex column. The effectiveness of gas velocity Ug , liquid velocity UL, liquid viscosity μL, and particle density ρs on bed porosity BP and solid holdups εg were determined. The bed porosity increases with "increasing gas velocity", "liquid velocity", and "liquid viscosity". Solid holdup decreases with increasing gas, liquid

The exception from the rule of annexation of ownership in French law
...Show More Authors

The owner and possessor may meet in one person, thus who have these property they have its fruit. But in sometimes the owner is different than possessor, this happen in case the original owner succeeds in recovering his property or right. About that the legislations differed on the determination the person who deserves the fruits and whether the possessor is bona fide or mala fide. This paper is focused on the idea of the excluded from the rule of possession of the thing. And the applications of the rule (acquisition by possession) that belong to modern Roman law also the standpoint of Iraqi law.

Autonomous weapons in the light of the principles of international humanitarian law

This paper deals with "the prohibition of autonomous weapons in the light of the principles of international humanitarian law", The autonomous  weapon is the newly developed type of weapon, and it is the latest of the genius of the human race in finding another "automatic" race to undertake combat operations on its behalf, However, this matter was not left at all, Rather, each party to the armed conflict must abide by the principles of international humanitarian law to avoid the harmful effects of that weapon, In particular, adherence to the text of Article 36 of the First Additional Protocol of 1977, which obliges the Contracting Parties to conduct a review of their weapons before their launch to find out what is prohibited and per

Molecularly imprinted polymer as sorbent in micro-solid phase extraction of ochratoxin A in coffee, grape juice and urine
...Show More Authors

A simple, environmental friendly and selective sample preparation technique employing porous membrane protected micro-solid phase extraction (μ-SPE) loaded with molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) for the determination of ochratoxin A (OTA) is described. After the extraction, the analyte was desorbed using ultrasonication and was analyzed using high performance liquid chromatography. Under the optimized conditions, the detection limits of OTA for coffee, grape juice and urine were 0.06 ng g−1, 0.02 and 0.02 ng mL−1, respectively while the quantification limits were 0.19 ng g−1, 0.06 and 0.08 ng mL−1, respectively. The recoveries of OTA from coffee spiked at 1, 25 and 50 ng g−1, grape juice and urine samples at 1, 25 and 50 ng mL

Monitoring the Change of Water Level and Its Effect on Water Quality in Sawa Lake, Southwest Iraq
...Show More Authors

Sawa Lake is considered one of the distinct closed water systems located in the southwestern part of Iraq. In last years, the lake has suffered from a significant decrease in the water depth reached 1.5 m, thus the current study aims to monitor and analyse the change in water level, and identify causes and effect of this change on the lake hydrochemical properties by using analyzing cations and anions with the assistance of sub bottom profilers technique as well as obtained information from scientific diving.

The results revealed that the lake had an equilibrium state between feed up and withdrawal water as well as evaporation during history.  In spite of the high evaporation rates in the region, thi
