Novel large scale brain network models for EEG epileptic pattern generations
...Show More Authors

Background: Unlike normal EEG patterns, the epileptiform abnormal pattern is characterized by different mor phologies such as the high-frequency oscillations (HFOs) of ripples on spikes, spikes and waves, continuous and sporadic spikes, and ploy2 spikes. Several studies have reported that HFOs can be novel biomarkers in human epilepsy study. S) Method: To regenerate and investigate these patterns, we have proposed three large scale brain network models (BNM by linking the neural mass model (NMM) of Stefanescu-Jirsa 2D (S-J 2D) with our own structural con nectivity derived from the realistic biological data, so called, large-scale connectivity connectome. These models include multiple network connectivity of brain regions at different lobes from both hemispheres (left and right). The network nodes of these models were simulated based on the local dynamics of the S-J 2D model, which were generated by adjusting the global coupling between the excitatory and inhibitory populations. The connection strength between the inhibitory and excitatory neurons of the local model was also adjusted to investigate different morphology patterns. Results: The proposed network models were developed and evaluated by simulations. Different abnormal patterns of EEG brain activities such as HFO S ripples on spikes, spikes, continuous spikes, sporadic spikes and ploy2 spikes ranging from 94 to 144 Hz were regenerated. Different morphology patterns of abnormality were generated from novel BNMs and the epileptiform abnormal pattern obtained in actual EEG and other computational models were also compared. Significant: This study is able to assist researchers and clinical doctors in the field of epilepsy to better understand the complex neural mechanisms behind the abnormal oscillatory activities, which may lead to the discovery of new clinical interventions in epilepsy.

Pattern of Cystoid Macular Edema
...Show More Authors

Background: Cystoid Macular Edema (CME) in its various forms can be considered one of the leading causes of central vision loss in the developed world. It is not a disease itself, It represents a common pathologic sequel of the retina and occurs in a variety of pathological conditions such as, diabetic retinopathy, central or branch retinal vein occlusion(CRVO,BRVO), intraocular inflammation and following cataract extraction. Objective: This study was done to investigate the pattern of CME in patient attending Erbil Teaching Hospitals.Type of the study: Cross- sectional study. Methods and Materials: This is a hospital base cross- sectional study that included 61 patients (75 eyes) conducted at Erbil Teaching Hospitals for six months. Improving the Network Lifetime in Wireless Sensor Network for Internet of Thing Applications
...Show More Authors

Mobile Wireless sensor networks have acquired a great interest recently due to their capability to provide good solutions and low-priced in multiple fields. Internet of Things (IoT) connects different technologies such as sensing, communication, networking, and cloud computing. It can be used in monitoring, health care and smart cities. The most suitable infrastructure for IoT application is wireless sensor networks. One of the main defiance of WSNs is the power limitation of the sensor node. Clustering model is an actual way to eliminate the inspired power during the transmission of the sensed data to a central point called a Base Station (BS). In this paper, efficient clustering protocols are offered to prolong network lifetime. A kern

Advanced Machine Learning Models for Banana Sweetness Classification
...Show More Authors

It takes a lot of time to classify the banana slices by sweetness level using traditional methods. By assessing the quality of fruits more focus is placed on its sweetness as well as the color since they affect the taste. The reason for sorting banana slices by their sweetness is to estimate the ripeness of bananas using the sweetness and color values of the slices. This classifying system assists in establishing the degree of ripeness of bananas needed for processing and consumption. The purpose of this article is to compare the efficiency of the SVM-linear, SVM-polynomial, and LDA classification of the sweetness of banana slices by their LRV level. The result of the experiment showed that the highest accuracy of 96.66% was achieved by the

ESTIMATION OF BRAIN NATRIURETIC PEPTIDE HORMONE AS PREDICTOR OF BRAIN STROKE AND NEUROCOGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT IN CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE PATIENTS IN BAGHDAD PROVINCE/IRAQ
...Show More Authors

Present investigation aimed to study plasma BNP hormone estimation as predictor of brain stroke and neurocognitive in relative with other limitations in CKD patient. The case control experimental study was conducted on CKD patient at Yarmuk Hospital at Baghdad Province, Iraq from February to April 2020. The results showed that there were significant variances (P< 0.05) between CKD patients and control group, there was significant increase in BNP hormone and cystatin-C levels at patient, while ihematological parameters were significantly decreased. The parameters of lipid profile were significantly increased (P<0.05). The result revealed that there was relationship between BNP hormone level and CKD. This support that BNP level is related wit

PATTERN OF INVESTMENT PROJECTS IN THE INVESTMENT ENVIRONMENT: PATTERN OF INVESTMENT PROJECTS IN THE INVESTMENT ENVIRONMENT

That the building of the national economy depends on the extent of the possibility of transition from the rent economy seeking to increase GDP (GDP1), and the tendency to manage projects with external sources of funding, or allow projects with foreign capital is a necessity. The strategic challenges faced by the economy in countries that have experience in investment projects have faced several factors internal and external for a period of time and not a few and the pressures and difficulties and failures have affected in one way or another on the development work in that country. On this basis, the stakeholders have a role to pay attention to the issue of the feasibility of the pattern of foreign investment in the investment environment

Aim: To evaluate the effect of two bonding systems and two curing systems on sealing ability of class V composite restorative materials. Materials and methods: This study was performed in vitro on 40 caries free upper first premolar teeth. The Standardized class V cavity preparation on buccal and lin- gual surfaces of each tooth was done. Then the teeth were randomly divided into two major groups each of twenty. 40 cavities were performed on these teeth and the first group7th generation bonding agent (i Bond) were applied according to the manufacturer instructions and single increment of univer- sal composite (XRV Herculite) from kerr were applied and twenty of the cavities were cured with con- ventional light cure device (astralis-5) and t
