PREPARATION, CHARACTERIZATION AND STUDY OF THE BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF NEW NO2, NOVEL N2O2 LIGANDS AND THEIR COMPLEXES WITH [Co (II), Cu (II), Ni (II), Mn (II) AND Hg (II)] IONS
...Show More Authors

A new two Schiff bases derivatives was synthesized and characterized with studying their biological activity and employed Manganese(II), Cobalt(II), Nickel(II), Copper(II) and Mercury(II) complexes: 2-((Z)-4-((Z)-2-hydroxy-1,2- diphenylethylideneamino)-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-ylideneamino) benzoic acid and (E)-4-(2-hydroxy-1,2- diphenylethylideneamino)-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-one. The first ligand were obtained through are action of Benzoin and 4-Aminoantipyrine while the second result from the condensation of the first ligand with 2-aminobenzoic acid. Ten new coordination compounds were synthesized and structurally characterized: [Co(L1)(Cl)], [Cu(L1)(Cl)] [Ni(L1)(Cl)], [Mn(L1)(Cl)], [Hg(L1)(Cl)], [Co(L2)], [Ni(L2)], [Cu(L2)], [Mn(L2)] and [Hg (L2)]. All of the suggested chemical structures of the prepared ligands and metal complexes are confirmed by using FT-IR, UV, 1H & 13C-NMR spectra. Most of the prepared compounds show antibacterial activity to Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Bacillussubtilis and Pseudomonasaeroginosa.

A Hybrid Artificial Intelligence Model for Predicting Quality of Service (QoS) in 5G Networks Based on Wireless Channel Parameters
...Show More Authors

This paper proposes a hybrid artificial intelligence (AI) model that combines an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to predict the Quality of Service (QoS) in 5G networks. The model utilizes radio channel indicators such as Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ), Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), and Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) to forecast throughput and latency levels. These indicators are critical factors affecting network performance; however, the nonlinear relationship among them makes traditional analytical models inadequate for accurate QoS prediction. The importance of the current study lies in estimating QoS in 5G networks by combining

Sustainable adsorptive removal of high concentration organic contaminants from water using biodegradable Gum-Acacia integrated magnetite nanoparticles hydrogel adsorbent
...Show More Authors

Release of industrial effluents comprising dyes in water bodies is one of the foremost causes of water pollution. Therefore, the proper and proficient treatment of these dyes contaminated left-over material before their release is crucial. Herein, an eco-friendly biological macromolecule Gum-Acacia (GA) integrated Fe3O4 nanoparticles composite hydrogel was manufactured via co-precipitation technique for effective adsorption of Congo red (CR) dye existing in water bodies. The as-prepared magnetic GA/Fe3O4 composite hydrogel was characterized by FTIR, XRD, EDX, VSM, SEM, and BET techniques. These studies discovered the fruitful fabrication of biodegradable magnetic GA/Fe3O4 composite hydrogel possessing porous structure with large surface are

Practices of Early Childhood’s Mothers Regarding Toilet Training at Primary Health Care Centers in Al-Rusafa District in Baghdad City
...Show More Authors

Objective(s): To assess the practices of early childhood’s mothers regarding toilet training and to find out the relationship between mothers’ practices and their socio-demographic characteristics and their children’s demographic characteristics.
Methodology: A descriptive study is conducted at primary health care centers in Al-Rusafa District in Baghdad City for the period of September 19th 2020 to March 16th 2021. Non probability “convenient” sample of (225) early childhood’s mothers is selected. A questionnaire format is designed and composed of two parts: the first part includes mothers’ socio-demographic characteristics and their children and the second part includes structured close-ended questions to assess the p

Multiple Mixing Ratios of Gamma Rays Reaction 32 70 70 33 Ge p n As (, ) γ Using a2-ratio Method.

The δ-mixing of γ-transitions in 70As populated in the 32 70 70 33 Ge p n As (, ) γ reaction is calculated in the present work by using the a2-ratio methods. In one work we applied this method for two cases, the first one is for pure transition and the sacend one is for non pure transition, We take into account the experimental a2-coefficient for previous works and δ -values for one transition only. The results obtained are, in general, in a good agreement within associated errors, with those reported previously , the discrepancies that occur are due to inaccuracies existing in the experimental data of the previous works.

“As if sky was blue”: An Eco-Marxist Reading of Caryl Churchill’s Play Not Not Not Not Not Enough Oxygen
...Show More Authors

Humanity is confronted with a growing array of environmental challenges that demand immediate attention and cannot be disregarded. One of the issues the world faces is air pollution, which presents a significant risk to both the environment and human well-being. The capitalist system has a great impact on the exacerbation of air pollution and environmental deterioration. This impact is reflected in Caryl Churchill’s post-apocalyptic play Not Not Not Not Not Enough Oxygen (1971). The play presents a futuristic scenario in which humanity faces grave consequences due to the polluting practices of capitalism and the unsustainable exploitation of natural resources. It depicts a future in which environmental degradation drives people

Neural Network Model for Synthesis of Thermally Sprayed (AI/AI2O3) Composite Protective Coatings
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Al2O3 and Al2O3–Al composite coatings were deposited on steel specimens using Oxy-acetylene gas thermal spray gun. Alumina was mixed with Aluminum in six groups of concentrations (0, 5, 10,12,15 and 20% ) Al2O3, Specimens were tested for corrosion using Potentiodynamic polarization technique. Further tests were conducted for the effect of temperature on polarization curve and the hardness tests for the coated specimens. At first, Modelling was carried out using MINITAB-19, least square method, as a 2nd degree nonlinear model, bad results were achieved because of the high nonlinearity. Better result w</p> ... Abstract<p>Water has a great self-generating capacity that can neutralize the polluting interventions carried out by humans. However, if human activities continue this uncontrolled and unsustainable exploitation of this resource, this regenerating capacity shall fail and it will be jeopardized definitively. Shatt Al-Arab River in South of Iraq. It has an active role in providing water for irrigation, industry, domestic use and a commercial gateway to Iraq. in the last five years Shatt Al-Arab suffered from a rise in pollutants due to the severe decline in sewage networks, irregular networks and pesticide products, as well as the outputs of factories and companies that find their way to water sou</p> ...
