The presence and prevalence of V. cholerae were investigated in forty five water samples collected from different locations of Tiger River/ Baghdad city. Twenty one isolates were isolated by adopting a simple isolation techniques. The final identification revealed that only three isolates were confirmed as V. cholerae. They were named 1J, 1R and Dial 131 which are all serogrouped as non-O1. Toxin Coregulated Pili (TCP) and heat labile enterotoxin (LT) were determined in only the environmental isolate 1J while non of the isolates produced heat stabile toxin (ST). This investigation deals with the use of orange peel (OP) waste as adsorbent for removal of nitrate (NO₃) from simulated wastewater. Orange peel prepared in two conditions dried at 60C° (OPD) and burning at 500 °C (OPB). The effect of pH: 2-10, contact time: 30- 180 min, sorbent weight: 0.5- 3.0 g were considered. The optimal pH value for NO₃ adsorption was found to be 2.0 for both adsorbents. The equilibrium data were analyzed using Langmuir and  Freundlich isotherm models. Freundlich model was found to fit the equilibrium data very well with high-correlation coefficient (R²). The shape for even-even (54Xe 118≤ A ≤ 140 and 82Pb 204 ≤ A ≤ 210 ) nuclei have been studied and investigated through the deformation parameters and δ , these deformation parameters were calculated by two different methods.
