Sulfur Derivatives of 1,2,4-Triazole: Recently Developed Compounds, Structure Activity Relationship, and Biological Activity: Review article
...Show More Authors

The term of heterocyclic chemistry focuses only on heterocyclic compounds, which consider as a percentage of organic chemistry, they equal to greater than sixty-five. These compounds are widely founded in nature and most of them are important to life. In the past few years, scientist fused on 1,2,4-triazoles and their condensed heterocyclic ring due to their medicinal significance, 1,2,4-triazole containing Sulphur atom is one of the important heterocyclic moieties due to its broad range of biological activities also their derivatives can accommodate one of the alternatives as electronic effect as exchanges of the electronic density (electron donating or withdrawing) groups ; for all what mentioned above they are consider as a core molecule in development of large number of medicinal compounds. 1,2,4-Triazole have wide range of pharmacological motivating drug possibility such as analgesic, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-convulsant, antioxidant, anti-septic, anti-cancer, diuretics, anti-diabetic, anti-urease, and anti-migraine agents. This review focus on 1,2,4-triazole Sulfur based compounds about their different biological activities and the relationship with their chemistry.

Disturbance of Arginase Activity and Nitric Oxide Levels in Iraqi Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
...Show More Authors

This study is an attempt to find whether arginine metabolism dysregulation by arginase activity is related to hyperglycemia, followed by changes in nitric oxide (NO) generation in type 2 diabetic patients. This study includes 42 control subjects (Group I), and 92 Iraqi patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The patient group was subdivided into two groups: Group II (54) with T2DM only and Group III (38) with T2DM and dyslipidemia (who were treating with atorvastatin along with diabetes treatment). The samples were obtained to measure arginase activity and NO levels. Serum arginase activity increased significantly in patients(groupII and groupIII) compared to control group. While serum NO level was significantly lower in diabetic pa

Intracellular and Extracellular extracts activity of Oscillatoria limnetica and Chroococus minor against some Bacteria and Fangi
...Show More Authors

In this study Oscillatoria limnetica and Chroococus minor were isolated ?purified and identification from water canal around Baghdad University Campus. The water of this canals originally from Tigris River. BG-11 culture media was used for their cultivation in suitable laboratory conditions (25c°, 200µE/m2/sec) for 16:8 hrs. Light: dark. Each culture was harvested at the end of exponential phase .Organic solvents used for extraction were Ethanol? Hexane and Methanol 95% to extract the crude active Intracellular and Extracellular substances, and evaporated down to dryness .Antibacterial and antifungal activity of these different extracts were evaluated against 6 strains of gram positive bacteria and gram negative bacteria in additi

Developed JPEG Algorithm Applied in Image Compression
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>JPEG is most popular image compression and encoding, this technique is widely used in many applications (images, videos and 3D animations). Meanwhile, researchers are very interested to develop this massive technique to compress images at higher compression ratios with keeping image quality as much as possible. For this reason in this paper we introduce a developed JPEG based on fast DCT and removed most of zeros and keeps their positions in a transformed block. Additionally, arithmetic coding applied rather than Huffman coding. The results showed up, the proposed developed JPEG algorithm has better image quality than traditional JPEG techniques.</p>

The Effect of Nickel, Vanadium, Asphaltene, NSO and Sulfur on Crude Oil Quality
...Show More Authors

The Mishrif reservoir (Cenomanian - Turonian) in the Z, H, B and N oilfields in southern Iraq was investigated to clarify how nickel, vanadium, asphaltene, NSO and sulfur content affect the crude oil quality. The GC-Mass and ICP-MS analyses were used to provide fruitful hydrocarbon results. Classification of crude oil based on API gravity broadly indicates the oil's density and general properties. Typically, lighter crude oils are easier to refine, yield higher percentages of valuable products such as gasoline and diesel, and have a higher market value. Heavier crude oils require more processing and may yield more residual products, such as heavy fuel oil and asphalt. The Mishrif crude oil was classified as a medium sour crude oil c

Estimation of secondary compounds content of some citrus leaves and their relationship by dietary preference for yellow scale insect Aonidiella. Orientalis (Hemiptera: Diaspididae)
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>The yellow scale insect Aonidiella orientalis is an important pest of citrus trees as it absorbs sap from leaves and fruits, causing leaves to turn yellow and deform fruits and drop them. The results of study showed nutritional preference of the insect over some of studied citrus species, as sour orange was the most preferred, followed by lemon and grapefruit, mandarin and oranges were least preferred, with a rate of 22.3, 13.3, 11.7, 10.8, 3.9, and insect / 2 inch2, respectively. while results showed a difference in the content of citrus leaves from the secondary compounds, with highest concentration of phenols and total flavonoids in o</p> ... The structure of the Schiff base ligand and their complexes are characterized by (C:H:N), FT.IR, UV.Vis, 1HNMR, 13CNMR and mass spectral. The presence of metal in the complexes are characterized by flame atomic absorption. The spectral data of the complexes have revealed the octahedral geometry. The (L1), (L2) and mixed ligand metal complexes were screened for their ability as cataly
