The most hazardous class of pharmaceuticals for soil and aquatic ecosystems are antibiotics, which include prescription medications and cancer treatments. Hospital effluents are usually produced by all parts of medical facilities, including hospitals. This study's specific goal was to provide a quick, affordable, and accurate analytical technique for determining the levels of amoxicillin, azithromycin, and penicillin in wastewater from Medical City, Al-Mahmudiya, and Al-Yarmouk hospitals (Iraq, Baghdad). An HPLC with a receptive ODS C18 column was used. It was equipped with UV and pulsed amperometric detectors with wavelengths of 230 nm and 210-240 nm, respectively. The correlation coefficients for each drug are greater than 0.9999, indicating that the approach is linear within the given range. It was evident that the limit of detection and limit of quantification for amoxicillin, azithromycin, and penicillin, respectively, were 0.103 µg/mL, 0.312 µg/mL, 0.069 µg/mL, and 0.211 µg/mL, and 0.086 µg/mL, 0.262 µg/mL. Ultimately, these results show that all wastewater samples from Medical City Hospital contain the three antibiotics amoxicillin, azithromycin, and penicillin. However, the Al-Mahmudiya sample had higher levels of penicillin and the Al-Yarmouk sample had lower levels of amoxicillin when compared to Medical City. The suggested method applies to a wide range of healthcare products used in a variety of effluent sources, including medical facilities and manufacturing environments. For citation: Jasim M. S. The Local manufacturing scanning gamma system designed in Tuwaitha site for nondestructive assay method of radioactive waste drums, where it consist of two main parts with their belongings for controlling the of detector and drum movements up-down and rotation respectively. The volume of the used drum is 220 L with 85 cm height. The drum filled with Portland cement. Six cylindrical holes were made within cement drum and distributed in radial arrangement.The152Eu source inserted in these holes individually, to measure the average angular count rate of gamma radiation. The full energy efficiency value for geometry of drum and detector is computed for thirteen photo peaks. The average efficiency represented by the curve of these peaks indic

Use of electrodes that provide a high surface area for reaction, such as Nickel foam and Carbon Fiber Felt, has proven highly efficient in treating wastewater. In this study, a mixture of dyes (Eosin Y, Methylene Blue, and Methylene Violet) was treated using Ni foam as a cathode and carbon fiber felt as an anode in the Electro-Fenton process, relying on iron waste, such as iron filings, as the catalyst source. The analysis characterization of electrodes and iron filings was determined by Energy dispersive X-Ray (EDX) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) tests. The results showed high efficiency in decomposing the dye mixture. The highest Re % 96.4591 which attained after accomplishing the experiments based on Response Surface Method (RSM)

The measurements were carried out by the Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment, in the Radiation Protection Center. The collection, removal and evaporation of the samples ranged from January to the end of March 2018. The results show the presents of concentration of 238U and 235U in soil samples and the rainwater samples. The conclusion of this work is the concentration of uranium in soil samples is more than recommendations by ICRP value of 1.9 μg /l. While all water sample

Typically, esterification is employed to convert FFAs into fatty acid methyl ester (FAME). Herein, the effectiveness of tungstosilicic acid hydrate (TSAH) as an unsupported heteropoly acid (HPA) catalyst for FFA esterification in ACPO was investigated. The FFA content was reduced from 8.43% to 0.95% under optimum conditions (4 wt% catalyst dosage, a methanol to oil molar ratio of 10:1, 150 min and a temperature of 60°C). Noteworthy, the TSAH catalyst showed stability over 7

Most of the old and modern cities and urban centers were set up close to the rivers because water enters the main lifeblood and all its facilities. The proximity of cities to rivers caused environmental problems resulting from the dumping of residues of these cities to a large and continuous, these wastes include all uses of the city (industrial, agricultural, residential and commercial) and others. The accumulation of these wastes inside the rivers water kills life and makes them unsuitable for various uses to bury
