نشط مسمىّ ( آية السيف ) مع الآية الخامسة من سورة براءة ( التوبة ) آخر السور نزولاً , وهو مسمّى شديد الصولة أفضى إلى إشكالية في فهم فلسفة الجهاد من منظور الشرع الإسلامي , إذ شكّلت الآية منطلقاً وركيزة لمقولات العنف التي تبنّتها الجماعات المتشدّدة بتوثيقات منبتها من التراث تلتقط صور الأحداث بإبتار وتقطيع , تقابلها توثيقات تربأ عمّا يقع في أوّل الخاطر، وتلك عرضتها في محورين , السياق المقامي الذي أظهر انضباط أحكام الإسلام بقوانين أخلاقية تدفع فرية الإبادة المشهرة بآية السيف , والسياق المقالي العاصف المبطّن بمقاصد حانية هدفها الإنسان والسيكولوجيا التي يتحرّك في إطارها . وامتلك السياقان القدرة على تحرير الإسلام من أغلال الأقاويل التي تغرّبه في نفوس أهله قبل أعدائه , فقد أنضرا فضائل لا ينتهجها إلا تشريعٌ سماوي . الكلمات المفتاحية : آية السيف/ المقام / المقال
This study deals with the thems of "in-betweeness" in the modern Afro-American Drama, drawing upon the accumulated literature of the colonial and postcolonial studies. In-betweeness appears in these studies under the canopy of the terms mimicry, hybridity and liminality which refer to a transformative, in-between state of being. It also refers to themutual relations holdingbetween man and his cultural space.
This concept is fitting the Afro-American playwright Amiri Baraka's plays and his violent, revolutionary theatre. In his play Dutchman (1964), Clay, the protagonist, is a good example of the two-ness or in-betweeness.
