The research included the preparation and characterization of the new 4-ethyl-3-thiocimecarbazide ligand; N1-(dimethylcarbamoyl)-N2-ethylhydrazine-1, 2-bis (carbo-thiomide)(L). Three transition metal complexes were isolated from the mixing of the title ligand with the metal ions of (Ni (II), Co (II), and Cu (II)). The reaction was performed by mixing metal ligand in a 1: 1 mole ratio using EtOH as the medium. The chemical formula of L complexes is presented as follows;[LNiCl2H2O],[LCoCl2H2O] and [LCuCl2H2O], The entity of the expected structure of the ligand and its metal complexes were illustrated through a range of physicochemical techniques. These include; FT-IR, electronic spectra, 1H-and 13C-NMR spectra, elemental analysis (CHNS), chloride content, metal content, melting point, molar conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements. A simple ,accurate and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed the determination of Cobalt(II) and Cupper (II) .The method is based on the chelation of Co(II) and Cu(II) ions with 4-(4´-pyrazolon azo) -2-Naphthol(APAN) in aqueous medium . The wild populations of the vinegar fly Drosophila melanogaster Meigen from two regions in Baghdad , Saidiya and Tuwaitha were selected for this study to investigating the frequency of the dominant lethality , this parameter was investigated through fecundity and egg hatchability rate which considered as main indicator for the presence of mutation . The results showed that fecundity rate in Saidiya increased with time , so the lowest rate was 65.5 eggs per female in November and the highest was 87.4 eggs in May , the same results was observed for Tuwaitha except a significantly decrease in fecundity rate that was observed in May which was 42.7 eggs , as well as another significant differences between the two regions was observed in March

The genus Larra Fabricius, 1793 (Hymenoptera: Crabronidae) is recorded for the first time from Vietnam. Three species and two subspecies belonging to this genus as follows: L. amplipennis (F. Smith, 1873); L. carbonaria (F. Smith, 1858); L. fenchihuensis Tsuneki, 1967; L. polita polita (F. Smith, 1858) and L. polita luzonensis Rohwer, 1919 are presented. Keys to both sexes of the three species and two subspecies reported here are provided.
