Screening and optimization of a novel gallic acid and tannase production under semi quantitative and quantitative methods
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Tannin acyl hydrolase as the common name of tannase is an inducible extracellular enzyme that causes the hydrolysis of galloyl ester and depside bonds in tannins, yielding gallic acid and glucose. The main objective of this study is to find a novel gallic acid and tannase produced by Acinetobacter Baumannii. A number of optimization steps were followed in order to improve the highest production of gallic acid and tannase. In present study, A. baumannii were isolated from ICU burn. A. baumannii was examined by microscopic examination, morphological and biochemical assay including oxidase and catalase. The following parameters were considered and determined the effect of pH, temperature, incubation period and inoculum volume on gallic acid and tannase production. It was observed that A. baumannii gave the highest yields of gallic acid and tannase using semi-quantitative and quantitative methods. A novel A. baumannii stimulated production of gallic acid and tannase using 0.5% tannic acid in agar medium. The maximum production of gallic acid and tannase by A. baumannii was recorded at pH 5.5, temperature at 37°C, 72h of incubation period and 10% of the inoculum volume. The results concluded that the highest yields of gallic acid (47.54 mg/ml) and tannase (50.12U/mg) were obtained under improved conditions.</p>

Guernica Semiotics… methods of Expression between Aesthetic and Semantic Composition
...Show More Authors

This semiotic analytical study has shown that there is a wide diversity in the aesthetic systems and the ranges of reception for the rhetoric and the discourse. The fertility of this semiotic conceptual system monitored this new mature, innovative and advanced level of this new critical analytical method with its different technical and theoretical foundations. Thus, it opened the door wide to new discoveries in the laws, which motivate different artistic texts. Finally, the research is just a start. Can the linguistic methods read the artistic works outside the linguistic authorities? Is it possible to capture the structural transformation in Picasso drawings? Semiotically another researcher in another method (such as deconstruction) ca

Development A Method For Production Of Carbon Nanotubes
...Show More Authors

In this work chemical vapor deposition method (CVD) for the production of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been improved by the addition of S. Steel mesh container (SSMC) inside which the catalyst (Fe/Al2O3) was placed. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) investigation method used to study nanotubes produced, showed that high yield of two types of (CNTs) obtained, single wall carbon nanotube (SWCNTs) with diameter and length of less than 50nm and several micrometers respectively and nanocoil tubes with a diameter and length of less than 100nm and several micrometers respectively. The chemical analysis of (CNTs) reveals that the main component is carbon (94%) and a little amount of Al (0.32%), Fe (2.22%) the reminder is oxygen. It was also fou

Petrophysical Evaluation by Integrating AI and HFU Methods. A Case Study of the Mishrif Reservoir in Southern Iraq
...Show More Authors

Reservoir quality assessment is important for detecting hydrocarbon-bearing zones and guiding future enhancement strategies. This study presents a detailed petrophysical evaluation of the Mishrif Formation in the Buzurgan Oilfield, which was selected due to its strategic value through its significant remaining reserves which making it an ideal candidate for advanced evaluation techniques. This study aims for shale content, porosity, permeability, water saturation, net to gross, and lithology determination. Well log and core data were used together to establish accurate property estimations. Permeability prediction through conventional methods, like core permeability-porosity correlations, was highly dispersive due to the heterogenei

Enhanced EEG Signal Classification Using Machine Learning and Optimization Algorithm
...Show More Authors

This paper proposes a better solution for EEG-based brain language signals classification, it is using machine learning and optimization algorithms. This project aims to replace the brain signal classification for language processing tasks by achieving the higher accuracy and speed process. Features extraction is performed using a modified Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) in this study which increases the capability of capturing signal characteristics appropriately by decomposing EEG signals into significant frequency components. A Gray Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm method is applied to improve the results and select the optimal features which achieves more accurate results by selecting impactful features with maximum relevance
