The Effectiveness of Deep Breathing Exercise Training Program in Reducing Discomfort Symptoms amongst Undergoing Haemodialysis: A Randomised Controlled Trial
...Show More Authors
Background:

Chronic kidney disease is one of the leading public health problems that affect millions of women and men worldwide.

Aims:

This study aims to examine the effect of deep breathing to reduce discomfort amongst patient undergoing haemodialysis (HD).

Materials and Methods:

This randomised controlled experimental study was conducted consisted of 108 patients (54 in each group) who undergoing HD in hospitalised adults’ patients between November 2024 and February 2025 to examine the effect of the deep breathing on the discomfort level during HD. The study data were collected using the structured information form, Discomfort questionnaire scale for discomfort. The data were analysed using the SPSS software version 27.

Results:

The demographic characteristics of the individuals participating in this investigation spanned from 18 years of age and above, with a calculated mean age of (48.96 ± 12.490 in study group and 48.48 ± 13.729 in control group) years, and the majority of participants are male in the study group (70.4%) a. while control group was (64.8%) male

. Conclusions:

Performing deep breathing exercises for 20 min, twice per day for a three weeks; can reduce maintenance HD patients’ discomfort level.

The Impact of Implementing a Pharmacist-led Deprescribing Program on Medication Adherence among Hemodialysis Patients
...Show More Authors

Background: One way to target polypharmacy and inappropriate medication in hemodialysis (HD) patients is with medication deprescribing. Objective: To assess the impact of implementing a pharmacist-led deprescribing program on medication adherence among HD patients. Method: A prospective interventional, one-group pretest-posttest-only design study was conducted at a hemodialysis center in Wasit Governorate, Iraq. Medication reconciliation followed by medication review based on the deprescribing program was done for all eligible patients, and the patients were monitored for three months for any possible complications. Results: Two hundred and seventy patients were screened for eligibility. Only one hundred and eighteen were enrolled i

COLORED ROOFS: A SOLUTION TO MITIGATION UHI AND REDUCING URBAN SURFACE HEATING
...Show More Authors

The city is a built-up urban space and multifunctional structures that ensure safety, health and the best shelter for humans. All its built structures had various urban roofs influenced by different climate circumstances. That creates peculiarities and changes within the urban local climate and an increase in the impact of urban heat islands (UHI) with wastage of energy. The research question is less information dealing with the renovation of existing urban roofs using color as a strategy to mitigate the impact of UHI. In order to achieve local urban sustainability; the research focused on solutions using different materials and treatments to reduce urban surface heating emissions. The results showed that the new and old technologies, produ

A Hybrid Deep Learning Approach for Fault Classification in Electric Vehicle Drive Motors
...Show More Authors

A new and hybrid deep learning-based approach for diagnosing faults in electric vehicle (EV) drive motors is proposed in this article. This article presents a new and hybrid deep learning-based method of diagnosing faults in the drive motors of electric vehicles (EV). In contrast to standard CNNLSTM approaches that depend on SoftMax classification, the introduced framework combines a Random Forest (RF) classifier to enhance the generalization, interpretability, and robustness of fault prediction. Furthermore meant for use on edge computing equipment with IoT integration, the design allows for real-time monitoring in resource-limited settings. The introduced algorithm utilizes a Random Forest (RF) classifier for accurate fault classification

A Review: Campus Violence Detection Using Deep Learning Models
...Show More Authors

This paper offers a systemic review of the deep learning methods to detect violence on campus, which is a critical issue in intelligent surveillance to improve the student safety and prompt cut off of violent accidents. The review reviews studies published 2018-2025, concentrating on model structure to detect fights, bullying, vandalism, and aggressive behavior on problematic campuses due to occlusion and light variations and complicated human interactions. The research design includes a comparative study of different deep learning networks, such as CNNs, RNNs, 3D CNNs, attention-based networks, transformers, graph neural networks, neuro-fuzzy, and multimodal systems and federated learning methods. The paper also assesses benchmark
