In this paper the method of singular value decomposition  is used to estimate the ridge parameter of ridge regression estimator which is an alternative to ordinary least squares estimator when the general linear regression model suffer from near multicollinearity.

Identifying people by their ear has recently received import attention in the literature. The accurate segmentation of the ear region is vital in order to make successful person identification decisions. This paper presents an effective approach for ear region segmentation from color ear images. Firstly, the RGB color model was converted to the HSV color model. Objective: The objective of the study was to test the hypothesis, that umbilical cord blood crude serum applied topically with its high concentration of growth factors may promote an early healing for animal models with burn injury.

Methods:  Fresh human umbilical cord blood UCBS was collected and screened for transmitted diseases such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV. Mice and rabbits were scalded by boiling water and chemical burning by NaOH, then treated with UCBS. In comparison with a Cetrimide treated group and a control group (without treatment). The UCBS was subjected to microbial testing to demonstrate the presence or absence of extraneous viable contaminating microorganisms.

Background: pain is frequently listed among initial symptoms of MS or an occurring in the course of the disease.
Patients and Methods: one hundred thirty MS patients diagnosed according to Macdonald's criteria compared with 115 matched age and sex control were interviewed about pain Neuropathic, somatic and headache.
Results: Neuropathic pain was significantly higher in MS than control group, while LLD and ARP were of no significance difference between two groups. For somatic pain there was significant increase in MS.
Conclusion: pain is common in MS especially LLD. There is no significant difference between pain subtypes and duration of disease and FS, EDSS.
