Amid the growing demand for multifunctional and environmentally benign materials, lead-free double perovskites have emerged as a strategically important development in advanced functional materials research. This study presents the synthesis of Ba2PrMnO6 (BPMO) double perovskite nanocrystals for the first time via a hydrothermal method, and a comprehensive evaluation has been conducted using the density functional theory (DFT) framework. Structural, thermodynamic, electronic, optical, and mechanical properties were investigated through X-ray diffraction (XRD), ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy, FESEM/EDX, FTIR, and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. XRD confirms a stable tetragonal I4/m phase with experimental lattice constants in excellent agreement with theory. UV-vis analysis reveals their semiconducting nature with a bandgap of 1.98 eV, consistent with DFT calculations, whereas electronic structure calculations show a combination of metallic and semiconducting behavior across spin channels. FESEM reveals nanoscale grains with an average particle size of ∼58 nm, while EDX confirms the elemental composition, purity and uniformity. FTIR identifies the presence of PrO6 and MnO6 octahedra in the sample. Optical spectra, dielectric response, and absorption features indicate the presence of strong orbital hybridization effects. Mechanical and thermodynamic stability demonstrates stable elastic behavior, phonon integrity, and predictable thermal trends, confirming the robustness of BPMO over a wide temperature range. A strong correlation between the lattice parameters, structural distortion, octahedral tilting, spin-polarized bandgap, and optical response underscores the potential of BPMO as a promising candidate for next-generation spintronic and optoelectronic applications. Complexes of some metal ions with 2-thiotolylurea were prepared in ethanolic medium using (1:1) (Metal : Ligand) ratio yielded series of neutral complexes as the general formula [M(L)Cl2]. The prepared complexes were identified by atomic absorption FT.IR, UV-Visble spectra, molar conductivity and magnetic properties. From the above data the tetrahedral structure was suggested for all complexes.
The present study aimed to synthesize selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) using aqueous extract of black currant as a reducing agent. The green synthesized black currant selenium nanoparticles (BCSeNPs) were identified by color change. The characterization of SeNPs was achieved by Ultraviolet-visible (UV–VIS) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X–ray diffraction analysis (XRD), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). These tests were used to detect: stability, morphology, size, crystalline nature, and functional groups present on the surface of BCSeNPs. The results revealed appearance of the brick-red color indicating the specific color of selenium nanoparticles, and UV-Vis spectroscopy showed band absorbanc

The synthesized CNSs were characterized using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD), and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR). The carbon spheres in different sizes between 100 nm and 1000 nm were investigated. This work has done by two parts, first preparation of the metallic catalyst and second part formation CNSs by heat treatment.
In the present work, 9-fluorenone-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (1) was prepared from 9-fluorenone-2-carboxylic acid and then converted into the acid hydrazide (2). Compound (2), is the key intermediate for the synthesis of several series of new compounds such as substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives (3-6) were synthesized from the condensation of different substituted benzoic acids with compound (2) using POCl3 as condensing agent. Treatment of compound (2) with formic acid gave the N-formyl hydrazide (7), which upon refluxing with phosphorous pentoxide in benzene yielded the corresponding 5-(9-fluorenone-2-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (8). Reaction of hydrazide (2) with phenyl isocyanate to give N-phenyl semicarbazide derivative (9), then thi

From this Schiff base, monomeric complexes [M (L)n (H2O)2 Cl2] with M = Cr, Fe, Mn, Cd, and Hg were synthesized and characterized based on elemental analysis (EA), FT‐IR, mass(MS), UV‐visible, thermal analysis, magnetic moment, and molar conductance. The results showed that the geometrical structural were octahedral geometries for the Cr(III) and Fe(III) complex

We report about multilayer (TiO2)1-x(WO3)x thin films with various tungsten oxide concentration deposited on glass substrate via pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique method. The structural, optical and dielectric properties of the prepared thin films were characterized using x-ray diffraction method (XRD) and UV-Visible absorption spectrometry and LRC meter. The x-ray results showed a polycrystalline structure of pristine titanium oxide and the peaks are identical with the rutile phase and trace of the anatase phase. These peaks are identical with titanium oxide and triclinic tungsten oxide as WO3 is added to TiO2 while it was observed that all peaks belong to tungsten oxide at x=1.0. Th
