Hydrothermal synthesis and comprehensive DFT evaluation of Ba2PrMnO6 double perovskite nanocrystals for next-generation spintronic and optoelectronic technologies
...Show More Authors

Amid the growing demand for multifunctional and environmentally benign materials, lead-free double perovskites have emerged as a strategically important development in advanced functional materials research. This study presents the synthesis of Ba2PrMnO6 (BPMO) double perovskite nanocrystals for the first time via a hydrothermal method, and a comprehensive evaluation has been conducted using the density functional theory (DFT) framework. Structural, thermodynamic, electronic, optical, and mechanical properties were investigated through X-ray diffraction (XRD), ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy, FESEM/EDX, FTIR, and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. XRD confirms a stable tetragonal I4/m phase with experimental lattice constants in excellent agreement with theory. UV-vis analysis reveals their semiconducting nature with a bandgap of 1.98 eV, consistent with DFT calculations, whereas electronic structure calculations show a combination of metallic and semiconducting behavior across spin channels. FESEM reveals nanoscale grains with an average particle size of ∼58 nm, while EDX confirms the elemental composition, purity and uniformity. FTIR identifies the presence of PrO6 and MnO6 octahedra in the sample. Optical spectra, dielectric response, and absorption features indicate the presence of strong orbital hybridization effects. Mechanical and thermodynamic stability demonstrates stable elastic behavior, phonon integrity, and predictable thermal trends, confirming the robustness of BPMO over a wide temperature range. A strong correlation between the lattice parameters, structural distortion, octahedral tilting, spin-polarized bandgap, and optical response underscores the potential of BPMO as a promising candidate for next-generation spintronic and optoelectronic applications. The research Aim is to provide support to small enterprises by providing tools that enable measurement and test their performance and identifying weaknesses and work on them is determined by the problem of searching using traditional assessment methods for small projects with only financial performance measurement standards that do not provide a complete picture of the performance of these projects so use the balanced scorecard the four pillars (financial, customer, learning and growth, and internal processes) and identify deviations and work on them through the use of the outputs of the programme (probe), PROmoting Business Excellence-PROBE), which It is a model of performance evaluation, with which you can deve

IMMUNONOLOGICAL EVALUATION AND ACUTE TOXICITY STUDY WITH FERTILITY EXAMINATION FOR THE EFFECT OF AQUEOUS EXTRACT FROM DRIED FRUITS OF Piper nigrum L. IN MICE
...Show More Authors

The research work was conducted to investigate the effect of oral administration of water extract of black pepper at doses of (1, 5) mg/kg body weight for two weeks daily by determining the genotoxic effect (mitotic index), evaluation of immunological effect (IgG, IgM, IgA, C3, C4) and measuring fertility hormones (follicles stimulation hormone/FSH, lutenising hormone/LH) levels with histopathological examinations of female albino swiss mice ovaries in comparison with control (normal saline). A clear effect in increasing mitotic activity was reveled for both doses in comparison with control. Results also showed a significant increase in the value of the all immunological parameters at both doses in comparison with control. Also obvious rais

Evaluation of Interlukein-6 and Vitamin D in Patients with COVID-19
...Show More Authors

COVID-19 is a unique viral infectious illness that causes a variety of symptoms and health hazards, particularly to the respiratory system and has been declared a worldwide pandemic. The disease is characterized by a cytokine release in severe conditions. Interleukin-6 (IL-6), a proinflammatory cytokine, mediates an important immunomodulatory process. Also, vitamin D was identified to have a role in the innate immunity of individuals. Our study was designed to find the role of IL-6 and vitamin D in COVID-19 patients, as well as, to see whether there is a link between vitamin D deficiency and cytokine syndrome development. The study included 90 COVID-19 patients and 30 control people from Baghdad, Iraq. The age of the participants was non-s

Formulation and Evaluation of Immediate-Release Tablet Containing Atorvastatin Phospholipid Solid Dispersion
...Show More Authors

Oral tablets containing solubilized drug in the presence of appropriate excipients may give us an immediate release of the drug. Phospholipid solid dispersion (PSD) is a branch of solid dispersion in which phospholipid acts as a hydrophilic polymer in the presence of a suitable adsorbent to enhance the solubility of poorly soluble drugs. The anti-hyperlipidemic drug Atorvastatin (ATR) is an example of such drug, as it belongs to the class II group according to the biopharmaceutical classification system (BCS) with low bioavailability due to its low solubility. Phosphatidylcholine in combination with magnesium aluminum silicate as an adsorbent in a ratio of ATR: PC: MAS 1:3:4 was used to prepare ATR PSD by the solvent evaporation method, the

Sonographic evaluation of masseter muscle thickness in bruxist and non-bruxist subjects
...Show More Authors

Background: Masseter muscle is a jaw closing muscle of the mandible involved in Para functional habits; which include lip and cheek chewing, fingernail biting, and teeth clenching or bruxism which can be classified as awake or sleep bruxism. Patients with sleep bruxism are three to four times more likely to experience jaw pain and limitation of movement than people who do not experience sleep bruxism. The aim of this study is to measure the thickness of the masseter muscle in bruxist subjects and compare it with non-bruxist subjects by using sonography. Materials and Method: Forty Iraqi subjects with age ranged (20-40) divided into two groups according to the presence of bruxism. Clinical examination was made and masseter muscle thickness

Formulation and Evaluation of Sustained Release Sumatriptan Mucoadhesive Intranasal in-Situ Gel

Sumatriptan(ST) is a selective agonist at serotonin 5-HTI receptors, as well as 5-HT1B/1D subtypes. It is effective for acute migraine attacks, but has a short half  life (about 2 hours) and low oral bioavailability (15%). The purpose of this study was to develop and optimize nasal mucoadhesive in-situ gel(IG) of ST to enhance nasal residence time for migraine management. Cold method was used to prepare different formulas of  ST nasal IG, using thermosensitive polymers (poloxamer 407  alone or with poloxamer 188) with a mucoadhesive polymer hyaluronic acid (HA) which were examined for gelation temperature and gelation time, pH, drug content, gel strength, spreadability, muc

The main aim of this study is to evaluate the remaining oil in previously produced zones, locate the water productive zone and look for any bypassed oil behind casing in not previously perforated intervals. Initial water saturation was calculated from digitized open hole logs using a cut-off value of 10% for irreducible water saturation. The integrated analysis of the thermal capture cross section, Sigma and Carbon/oxygen ratio was conducted and summarized under well shut-in and flowing conditions. The logging pass zone run through sandstone Zubair formation at north Rumaila oil field. The zones where both the Sigma and the C/O analysis show high remaining oil saturation simila
