Mycobacterium Spp. isolated from horses fecal samples
...Show More Authors

As part of farm animal surveillance for tuberculosis the prevalence of Mycobacterium bovis and other mycobacterial species in horse fecal specimens wasevaluated.Thedistributions of these organisms in horses are rarely diagnosed in horses. Nevertheless, it was possible to obtain noteworthyinformation on diagnosis, manifold clinical signs and epidemiological relationships from available literature. Mycobacterial infections caused both by M. aviumcomplex (MAC)are occasionally diagnosed inhorses in Iraq. Finally, under certain conditions, horses may become a source of mycobacterial infectionsfor other animal species or for immunocompromised humans. Identification was made by classical biochemical tests,Mycobacteria were isolated from 18 (18.75%) fecal samples.Three isolates were identified as M. bovis, and the remaining 15avium mycobacterialisolates were represented. The data demonstrate that Horses in Baghdad are not reservoirs of mycobacteria but may pose a risk to thepublic To our knowledge, this is the first report of the isolation of Mycobacterium spp.from feces of Horses in Iraq. The data reported in this study provides some useful baseline in formation for future research

Synthesis and Characterization of New Compounds Derived from Amoxicillin and Evaluation of its Biological Activity
...Show More Authors

Amoxicillin 1 was treated with thiosemicarbazide and Phosphoryl chloride to obtain a new derivatives that contains 1,3,4-thiadiazole moiety 2. Schiff bases compounds were synthesized by the reaction of compound 2 with different aldehydes such as benzaldehyde and some substituted Benzaldehyde; p-hydroy, p-Chloro, p-Nitro, p-Dimethylamino, p-Methyl, p-Methoxy, p-Ethoxy to give compounds 3a-h. The obtained compounds have tested towards gram -ve and gram +ve bacteria. The compound shows good to moderate result towards the bacteria.

ND2 Gene Sequencing of Sub fertile Patients Recovered from COVID-19 in Association with Toxoplasmosis
...Show More Authors

A total of (90) blood samples were collected from male patients infected with Toxoplasmosis who recovered from COVID- 19 and attended Kamal Alsamiraai Hospital from 15 January to 15 September 2021. We measured anti-Toxoplasma antibodies (IgG and IgM) detected by ELISA, whereas Anti-COVID-19 antibodies (IgG and IgM) were estimated using Elisa and Afilias. The semen characteristics were also studied among fertile, healthy individuals (control group) and sub-fertile patients. Results showed that the mean sperm count was high among the control group (40.5±1.3x 106/ml) compared with that of the sub-fertile patients (10.3±1.75 and 8.8±1.9 x 106/ml for oligozoospermia, and oligoasthenozoospermia respectively), and it was the highest (44.7±1.4

Adsorption of Chromium (Vi) from Aqueous Solutions using Low Cost Adsorbent: Equilibrium and Regeneration Studies
...Show More Authors

The adsorption of Cr (VI) from aqueous solution by spent tea leaves (STL) was studied at different initial Cr (VI) concentrations, adsorbent dose, pH and contact time under batch isotherm experiments The adsorption experiments were carried out at 30°C and the effects of the four parameters on chromium uptake to establish a mathematical model description percentage removal of Cr (VI). The
analysis results showed that the experimental data were adequately fitted to second order polynomial model with correlation coefficients for this model was (R2 = 0.9891). The optimum operating parameters of initial Cr (VI) concentrations, adsorbent dose, pH and contact time were 50 mg/l, 0.7625 g, 3 and 100 min, respectively. At these conditions, th

COVID-19 Diagnostics from the Chest X-Ray Image Using Corner-Based Weber Local Descriptor
...Show More Authors

Corona Virus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) is a novel virus belongs to the corona virus's family. It spreads very quickly and causes many deaths around the world. The early diagnosis of the disease can help in providing the proper therapy and saving the humans' life. However, it founded that the diagnosis of chest radiography can give an indicator of coronavirus. Thus, a Corner-based Weber Local Descriptor (CWLD) for COVID-19 diagnostics based on chest X-Ray image analysis is presented in this article. The histogram of Weber differential excitation and gradient orientation of the local regions surrounding points of interest are proposed to represent the patterns of the chest X-Ray image. Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Deep Belief Network (DBN)
