Klebsiella pneumoniae causes lethal nosocomial infections, mostly affecting patients with severe burns. More than 80% of its isolates have shown resistance to routinely used antibiotics in parallel with increased infection rates. The study aimed to determine the molecular typing and genetic relatedness of K. pneumoniae. Therefore, 20 multidrug resistant (MDR) K. pneumoniae already isolated from infected burned wounds in two major hospitals of Al-Kut city east Iraq were subjected to genotyping analysis. The random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD)-based polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique was used along with three oligonucleotide primers (P13, OPX-04, and OPY-01). The amplicons’ patterns of the electrophoresis-gel were analyzed by the GelJ software. Results revealed various patterns of DNA bands. A genetic similarity was seen within isolates from some locations. This genetic relatedness was captured by dendrogram analysis of the generated RAPD profiles. However, a genetic diversity among K. pneumoniae clinical isolates was also detected suggesting their different origins as well as ongoing changes of the bacterial genome. Furthermore, this could propose the circulation of many strains simultaneously within the hospitals. Therefore, it is important to consider this genetic heterogeneity when developing control measures for nosocomial K. pneumoniae infections. In conclusion, the current study highlights the dissemination of various MDR K. pneumoniae strains in the burn wards of two major hospitals in Al-Kut city, Iraq. Similar studies need to be performed in other Iraqi hospitals to establish a data base used in infection control systems, to predict, and manage the spread/outbreaks correlated with certain genotypes of resistant strains.
Since its start spreed "Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2" was discovered in Wuhan, China.that is chargeable COVID-19, a pandemic virus, has end up a widespread fitness hassle everywhere in the global Over 2.1 million people have been affected. We analyze serum concentration of CD4 marker and CD8 marker depend in COVID-19 sufferers, and to make clear a relationship between these variables and disorder Progression and severity For those purpose, (158) sufferers with COVID-19 (showed with the aid of using polymerase chain reaction) and (22) seemingly wholesome human beings have been protected withinside the present day examine and taken into consideration as a manipulate group. All examine population (sufferers and manipulate) h

The groups was studied included two groups as follow: 1- first group: its (Infected group) the patients of this group have Anti-HCV abs in their serum by using Indirect ELISA technique. 2- second group: its (Control group) the persons of this group have no Anti-HCV abs in their serum by using indirect ELISA technique. The result of this study was observed there was two patients from the first group have Anti-HGVabs in their serum with infection percent 2.70%, also the same result was found in the second group wich mean there was two persons have Anti-HGVabs in their serum with infection percent 8.33% .So when we comparin

One hundred and three blood samples were taken for people aged (20-68) years for the period from 10/1/2021 to 1/3/2022, divided into three groups. The first group included 44-person H. pylori-infected with symptoms of infection, the second group had 19-person H. pylori-infected but without symptoms, and the third group included 40 people without H. pylori infection. All studied groups were carried out to measure anti-IgG Ab, Vac A and Ferritin by Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) technique. The statistical analysis indicates a non-significant difference in Vac A (p

Beta 2-microglobulion (?2-m) was assessed to determine if there was any association between this cytokine and the level of ?2- m, as the latter is related to the stage of the disease. In addition, the age and gender were also taken into consideration. Furthermore, we investigated the relationship between IgG and TNF-? in sera of patients. 49 Iraqi patients (27 males and 22 females). The patients were also divided into two groups: the first group included (17) patients who were

In the first one, a quantitative expression of IL4 gene was assessed by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR), and such findings were correlated with some demographic, clinical and laboratory parameters, which included gender, duration of disease, disease activity score (DAS-28), rheumatoid factors (RFs), C-reactive protein (CRP) and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (ACCP) antibodies. In the second approach, a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of IL4 gene (rs2243250) was inspected by DNA sequencing using specific primers. Fifty-one Iraqi RA patients (22 males and 29 fem

The examined variables included the age of the patients, marital status, education, occupation, smoking habit, family history of cancer, frequency of gravidity, parity and abortions. Results: The age of patients ranged from (24-70) years with a mean age of 48 years. The highest frequency of the examined sample

In the past 2 years, the American military forces had a primary role in spreading this chaos and disorder by applying a set of wrong measures and policies. This chaos that is still affecting the iraqi people was completely ignored by the USA even 2 years after the occupation, no serious steps have been taken in order to bring back order and security, on the other hand, most of the government institutions and its forces were disintegrated, along with the decision made by Paul Bremer of dismissing all the iraqi journals and the workers of the
