Three important electrode arrays in 2D imaging surveys were tested in this study through synthetic model to determine which array is the most successful in defining the vertical and horizontal geological structures. These arrays are Wenner-Schlumberger, Wenner and Dipole - dipole. The numerical modeling was created through vertical fracture zone and three separate cavities surrounded by horizontal layers. The results showed that the Wenner-Schlumberger is the most suitable electrode array when both vertical and horizontal structures are present in the subsurface. It is the best in imaging the vertical and horizontal contacts and represented these structures more accurately than the Wenner and Dipole-dipole arrays.

     A seismic study was conducted to re-interpret the Qasab and Jawan Oil fields in northwestern Iraq, south of the city of Mosul, by reprocessing many seismic sections of a number of field surveys by using the Petrel software. Two reflectors, represented by the Hartha formation, deposited during the Cretan age, and the Euphrates formation, formed during the Tertiary age, were delineated to stabilize the structural picture of these fields.

The survey reveals 109 species under 77 genera that belong to 32 families and 7 orders as follow: Coleoptera (44 species), Diptera (7 species) Ephemeroptera (2 species), Hemiptera (14 species), Hymenoptera (11 species), Lepidoptera (2 species) and Odonata with 29 species. Information of specimens' collection for each species, synonyms and geographical distribution were provided.

Reproduction potential and age –specific fecundity of the Mealybug Planococcus citri Risso were studied in the laboratories of Biological control research unit,college of Agriculture –Baghdad university at 25± 2Cº and 60-70% R.H.with 16 light:8 dark photo period.The results showed that the survival ratio began to decline at the 38th day, the average female age was 20 days ,while the average age was 8 days at the first reproduction . Four sites in Tigris River, at Wassit Governorate were covered, during the seasons of Autumn 2017, winter 2018, Spring 2018, and Summer 2018.
