Objectives of this project were to study the effect of 60% crude alcoholic extract of the seeds of cyperus esculentuson induced endometritis in the mice . The plant of cyperus esculentuswas extracted by preparing Alcoholic extract 60% . One hundred microliters of saline containing Escherichia coli (104cfu) was used to induce endometritis, by a single intracervicallyinjection, and endometritis developed after 2 days from injection. The mice were divided into five groups, The first group were treated with alcoholic extract of cyperus esculentusextract 150mg/kg body weight, the second group was treated with a daily 3mg per kg body weight of gentamicin given intra peritoneal,The third group was treated by 75mg/kg of cyperus esculentusextract and 1.5mg/kg of gentamicin, The fourth group was treated by distilled water given orally by stomach tube, treatment of mice in these groups continued for 14 days while the the fifth group was (negativecontrol group). The results of the packed cell volume (P.C.V.)%, hemoglobin (Hb)g/dL of mice in alcoholic extract group(T1)after 7 days of treatment showed significant improvement as compared with mice in induction group (T4) andafter 14 days of showed no significant increase (P≤ 0.05)as compared with mice in control group (T5). While in gentamicin(T2) treated group after 7 and 14 days of treatment showed significant decrease (P≤ 0.05) as compared with mice in (T4) and (T5) , furthermore the mice in alcoholic extract and gentamicin treated group(T3) after 7 and 14 days showed significant decrease as compared with (T5) in addition showed significant increase (P≤ 0.05) as compared (T2). Total white blood cell count and all differential white blood cell of alcoholic extract group(T1)after 7 days of treatment showed significant improvement as compared with (T4) and after 14 days of treatment showed no significant increase (P≤ 0.05)as compared with (T5). While the (T2)after 7 and 14 days of treatment showed significant decrease (P≤ 0.05) as compared with (T4) and (T5) while the eosinophil percentage showed significant increase (P≤ 0.05) as compared with mice in (T5). While (T3)after 7 days showed no significant important as compared with control group, but after 14 days of treatment showed significant decrease as compared with control group, in addition showed significant increase (P≤ 0.05) as compared with mice in (T2). the results of fertility index shown in alcoholic extract treated group (T1) and alcoholic extract and gentamicin treated group (T3) was increased as compared gentamicin treated group (T2). The results of body weight and uterine weight showed significant increase (P≤ 0.05) in alcoholic extract treated group as compared with control group and mice in gentamicin group. After 7 and 14days of induction with E.coli intrauterine infection revealed presence of inflammatory cellswithin the endometrial glands and surrounding glands, glandular epithelium is degenerating and the lumen contains cellular debris) , while the groups that treated with both extract and gentamicinshowed cellular debris within the glandular endometrium. group treated with the extract for 14days noticed cellular debris within the glandular endometrium and few inflammatory cells around the endometrial glands. Thegroup treated with Gentamicin for 14days of inductionshowed also degenerating of glandular epithelium and aggregates of inflammatory cells surrounding degenerating glands and presence of hemosiderin around glands, the control group showed normal uterine tissue
Resveratrol is polyphenolic compound has many biochemical and biological effects on several organs. Therefore, resveratrol can be used to treat many diseases. The aim was to evaluate resveratrol safety when used in a parenteral single bolus dose. This study was conducted on 60 mice (30 males and 30 females). Each male and female mice divided into 6 groups (five mice per group). All mice groups given 1% DMSO and five different doses of resveratrol (5, 2.5, 1.25, 0.625, 0.312) gm/kg intraperitonially given to five groups respectively. The mice were continuously monitored during 14 days. The number of deaths, changes in general behavior, changes in physiological activity, and signs of toxicity were reported. On day 15 blood was

A four-stroke, direct injected, single cylinder, diesel engine was tested at constant speed and at different load conditions without coating. Then, the inlet and exhaust valves faces were coated by about 500µm with ceramic materials. Ceramic layers were made of YttriaStabilized Zirconia (YSZ), and NiCrAl as a bond coat. The coating technique adapted in this work is the flame spray method. The engine with valves ceramiccoated research was tested for the same operation conditions of the engine (without coating). The results indicate a reduction in both fuel consumption by about 7.6% and particulate emissions by about (13

A special type of contracts emerged in the beginning of the last century called the “unilateral contracts”. The side sparked a major jurisprudential dispute, as well as the issuance of several contradictory judicial rulings on it. Hence, this research came to highlight this special type of contract. Key words: the definition of a unilateral contract, its distinction from other legal situations, and its effects.

Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor utilized for the treatment of hepatitis B virus and human immunodeficiency virus infections; and is now one of the most widely used antiretroviral drug. However, tenofovir disoproxil fumarate can induce nephrotoxicity, which may be attributed to the interaction between such drug and the organic anion transporters (hOAT1, and OAT3) with consequent changes in levels of some parameters that may have a role in nephrotoxicity. Thiazide diuretics have high to intermediate potency of inhibition of OAT1s and OAT3; thus, it may possess nephroprotective effects. This study was designed to investigate whether hydrochlorthiazide has nephroprotective effects on tenofovir diso

The aim of this study is to highlight the effect of vitamin D3 on methotrexate-induced jejunum damage using biochemical and histopathological studies. Seven groups of both sexes of rats were selected and treated as follows: (Group I and Group II) : control 1,control 2 (I.P normal saline) daily for 14 and 21 days respectively ; (Group III and Group IV) :vitamin D3 groups (500 IU/rat/day) orally for 14 and 21 days, respectively;(Group V): once daily dose of methotrexate 20mg/kg, I.P injected for 4 days;(Group VI):vitamin D3 (500 IU/rat/day) once daily for 14 days and methotrexate (20 mg/kg I.P) injected only at day 10;.(Group

Fimasartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker that offers organ-protective effects and may be useful in mitigating renal injury. The present study explored the anti-inflammatory potential of two doses of fimasartan against methotrexate-mediated nephrotoxicity. Albino rats were intraperitoneally administered a single methotrexate (20 mg/kg). Intraperitoneal treatment with fimasartan (5 or 10 mg/kg/day) was initiated on day two after methotrexate injection and continued for seven consecutive days. Methotrexate significantly increased serum urea, creatinine, and NGAL concentrations. It al

Glycopeptide antibiotic a (Vancomycin) and the commercial bacteriocin (Nisin A) were used to comparative with purification bacteriocin (MRSAcin) against MRSA biofilm. One hundred food samples were collected from Baghdad markets from July 2016 to September 2016, including (cheese, yogurt, raw milk, fried meat, grilled meat, and beef burger). All samples were cultures; S. aureus was confirmation by macroscopic culture and microscopic examination, in addition to biochemical tests. Methicillin resistance S. asureus (

This study was Included 120 blood samples that collected from pregnant women revisions to some clinics and laboratories in Baghdad civil as well as 10 blood samples from non-infected women as a control group. All blood samples were collected in the first three months of the pregnancy period for detection toxoplasmosis by using serological tests of test kit ( Toxo , IgG.,Toxo , IgM ). An experiment was conducted to study the effect of oral feeding of lead acetate on histological features of liver, kidney, testis and muscle of albino mice. Mice were treated with 0.05 mg/100 ml lead acetate (LA) for 10 days (group A) and for and for 20 days (group B) and for 30 days (group C).
