Mauddud Formation (Albian stage-the Early Cretaceous) is an important oil reservoir in Ratawi field of southern Iraq. Four wells, R T-2, R T-3, R T-6, and R T-7, located 70 km northwest of Basra, were selected to study microfacies properties and petrophysical associations with the probability of oil production. Seventy-seven core samples are collected, and thin sections for petrographic analysis. The self-potential, Gamma-ray, resistivity, and porosity logs are used to determine the top and bottom of the Mauddud Formation. The groundwater recharge from rainfall for the main shallow aquifer in the northeastern Missan governorate south of Iraq is investigated via classical and refined chloride mass balance techniques. Application of both techniques reveals that the mean annual groundwater recharge is 0.82 mm/y. The annual recharge received by the aquifer approximately reaches to three million cubic meters after multiply this figure by the area of the study area (about 1856 km2). This figure represents a renewable storage from which a sustainable management of the groundwater reserve could be implemented. In this work, ugzri images of NGC 4425 galaxy are analyzed. The galaxy images are obtained from the seventh Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data Release (DR7). This work was performed with Image Reduction and Analysis Facility (IRAF) and analyzed the structure of the galaxy a bulge, a bar, together with isophotal contour maps and performed a bulge/disk decomposition of the galaxy image. We present Group Tagging, a web application that supports reflection on collaborative, group‐based classroom activities.
