Abstract This dissertation examined the policy of American settlers toward Native peoples in the United States as one of the most complex issues in modern American history, as it was closely connected to the emergence of the new state and to the political, military, and economic transformations that followed the War of Independence, this policy developed within an expansionist context characterized by the pursuit of control over land and resources and the reorganization of geographical space in ways that served settler interests, in contrast to the marginalization of Indigenous presence and the erosion of their political and social systems, historical evidence demonstrated that relations between the two sides did not rest on fixed foundations of peace or conflict alone, but rather evolved through a combination of temporary treaties, armed confrontations, and legal measures that collectively contributed to the reshaping of the demographic and political map of North America. The period following 1783 emerged as a critical turning point in the manner by which American settlers dealt with Native peoples, as policy shifted from a colonial framework subordinate to the British Crown to a national policy led by an emerging federal government that sought to consolidate internal sovereignty and extend its authority over frontier regions, this transformation coincided with the intensification of westward internal migration and the growing pressure on tribal lands, which rendered Indigenous affairs an integral component of the state-building project rather than a mere border or security issue, and this shift was reflected in the proliferation of treaties, legislation, and military campaigns aimed at reorganizing relations with Native tribes according to a logic of dominance and control. The nature of the dissertation entitled The Policy of American Settlers toward Native Peoples in the United States up to 1820 required its division into an introduction, five chapters, a conclusion, a list of sources and
The common history of Latin America countries may contribute significantly to determine the initial beginnings of these States since the current borders are a reflection and drawing of the borders of Antarctica according to the divisions determined by the behavior of the Portuguese and Spanish colonialism as well as what the Pope originally called for in order to divide property between Spain and Portugal. A later change took place especially after the independence in the first quarter of the 19th century for the majority of those States which is something that imposed special consideration in the analysis and description of each of these States. There are constants and variables in this case where all the States share constants, while t

In this research, the researchers seek to apply this theory and its principles when teaching the simple present tense to Iraqi students who face difficulties in differentiating between the multiple usages of this tense. To achieve this objective, the researchers have conducted an experimental study on a group of 60 Iraqi students in the University of Baghdad, College of Education for Women. Langacker’s (2003) theory has been adopted in the analysis of the cognitive relations to understand the common and different connections of these usages of the simple present. The study has concluded that the cognitive grammar t

Here in Iraq it is considered newly introduced, despite the few attempts to establish projects that concern recycling most of them were doomed to fail, due to two main reasons: the first one is the financial and administrative corruption widespread in all departments of the country, the second one is the priorities of public spending. It is well known that Iraq was subjected to two major attacks, the ISIS entry attack in 2014 to Iraq. Finding empirical formulas and studying the effect of soil texture are the main purposes of this paper. In order to reach an ideal irrigation system as a modern technique to save water, especially in arid regions, soil textures of loam, silt, and silt loam were studied on a subsurface trickle irrigation system by utilizing HYDRUS/2D. The trickle system is usually operated at low pressure, in this paper the used pressure is 30 cm with an emitter buried at 10, 15, and 20 cm at different diameters. Patterns of wetting fronts in both directions at various times depending on soil texture are gathered to
The aim of the thesis is to estimate the partial and inaccessible population groups, which is a field study to estimate the number of drug’s users in the Baghdad governorate for males who are (15-60) years old.
Because of the absence of data approved by government institutions, as well as the difficulty of estimating the numbers of these people from the traditional survey, in which the respondent expresses himself or his family members in some cases. In these challenges, the NSUM Network Scale-Up Method Is mainly based on asking respondents about the number of people they know in their network of drug addicts.
Based on this principle, a statistical questionnaire was designed to
