(4R)-2, 3-(2`-chloro-2`- carboxyl)-1, 3-dioxolano-4- (2- dimethyl –dioxolane -yl) ascorbic acid (HL), a derivative of L-ascorbic acid was prepared by the reaction of 5,6-O-isopropylidene–L-ascorbic acid with trichloroacetic acid in alkaline medium. Seven new metal ion complexes of this ligand (HL) were prepared through its direct reaction with the chlorides of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) ions respectively. Metoclopramide HCl (MTB) is a potent antiemetic drug used for the treatment of nausea and vomiting. Many trials were made to prepare a satisfactory MTB orodispersible tablet using direct compression method.Various super disintegrants were used in this study which are croscarmellose sodium (CCS), sodium starch glycolate (SSG) and crospovidone (CP). In this study, the genus Xylocopa Latreille, 1802 (Hymenoptera: Apidae) was revised. There were 4 species registered in our investigations: X. hottentotta Smith, 1854; X. olivieri Lepeletier, 1841; X. pubescens Spinola, 1838 and X. valga Gerstäcker, 1872, the first species was described as being found for the first time for the insect fauna of Iraq, which were obtained from Solanum melogena L. flowers. Key to the species was constructed and supported by figures of the main diagnostic characters and some morphological features, illustrated and compared with other species, which are recorded in the current survey.
