Silver sulfide and the thin films Ag2Se0.8Te0.2 and Ag2Se0.8S0.2 created by the thermal evaporation process on glass with a thickness of 350 nm were examined for their structural and optical properties. These films were made at a temperature of 300 K. According to the X-ray diffraction investigation, the films are polycrystalline and have an initial orthorhombic phase. The present study develops the sorption model for simulating the effects of pH and temperature on the uptake of cadmium from contaminated water using waste foundry sand (WFS) by allowing the variation of the maximum adsorption capacity and affinity constant. Background and Aim: The present study aimed to investigate the pathogenic ability of Cronobacter sakazakii in neonatal mice through the evaluation of its effect on liver tissue and the associated histopathological changes . Methods: Isolates of C. sakazakii were obtained from the Microbiology and Molecular Laboratory, College of Education for Pure Science (Ibn Al-Haitham), University of Baghdad, and were confirmed by 16S rRNA sequencing from samples of infant formula, spinal fluid, and blood. Forty-five neonatal mice aged between 10 and 16 days were obtained from the Iraqi Center for Cancer and Medical Genetics. The animals were divided into three experimental groups, the first group as a control and given only distilled water, the
