Cefixime is an antibiotic useful for treating a variety ofmicroorganism infections. In the present work, tworapid, specific, inexpensive and nontoxic methods wereproposed for cefixime determination. Area under curvespectrophotometric and HPLC methods were depictedfor the micro quantification of Cefixime in highly pureand local market formulation. The area under curve(first technique) used in calculation of the cefiximepeak using a UV-visible spectrophotometer.The HPLC (2nd technique) was depended on thepurification of Cefixime by a C18 separating column250mm (length of column) × 4.6 mm (diameter)andusing methanol 50% (organic modifier) and deionizedwater 50% as a mobile phase. The isocratic flow withrate of 1 mL/min was applied, the temperature was 35°C and the detection optimum wavelength was adjustedto 285 nm. Methods linearity was obtained with thesestudy in the range of 5-35 μg/mL, the limit of detectionwas at level of 0.2076 μg/mL using HPLC and 0.2495μg/mL using area under curve method. Pure Polyaniline salt, and protonation PANI by H2SO4 were synthesized by electro-chemical oxidative polymerization of aniline with acidity of H2SO4. It was confirmed in this research that the ligand calcichrome formed stable complex with calcium ion at pH of 8.5 which verified by UV/Vis and FTIR spectral analysis and the complexation occurred via hydroxyl groups .
The stoichiometric ratio of the formed complex was found to be 1:1 by mole ratio and continuous variation methods . Dry ashing method of the complex and flame emission photometric analysis offered a calcium percentage in calcium complex equal 4.5% with an error of 2.41% due to experimental errors .
