This work presents the fabrication and the characterization of a relative humidity sensor based on a polymer-coated photonic crystal fiber that operates in a Mach- Zehnder Interferometer (MZI) transmission mode. A solid model was created to utilize the cross sections of 25 boreholes in the research region, and it was made out of two layers: sand and clay.
