Assessment the Effect of Lactobacillus Acidophilus on Escherichia Coli Serotype O157:H7 with Detection of Some Virulence Factors
...Show More Authors

Aim: To evaluation the effect of Lactobacillus acidophilus on Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) serotype O157:H7 with detection of some virulence factors. Methods: Two hundred and fifty specimens (stool) from children under five years for both sexes were collected from some hospitals. All isolates were diagnosed according to morphological characteristics, biochemical tests. Monoplex pattern of PCR was used also for detection different genes in (7) Escherichia coli )O157:H7 (isolates; include 16SrRNA, eae, lifA, Stx1,Stx2 that encoded for ribosomal RNA, intimin, lymphocyte inhibitory factor, shiga toxins. Three types of probiotics strains were obtained, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus acidophilus (ATCC4356). Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of cell free supernatants of Lactobacillus acidophilus was determined by employing different dilutions (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32), to detect the concentration of probiotic that will inhibit E.coli (O157:H7) growth. Results: Results showed, 210 (84%) samples were identified as E.coli from 250 samples. The result showed (7) isolates were identified as Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) serotype O157:H7 and showed all isolates of O157:H7 were positive for 16SrRNA gene with (213bp) and eae with (741bp), lifA with (712bp), only Stx1 gene appeared in all isolates with (446bp) and no bands with Stx2. Current result showed only cell free culture supernatant of Lactobacillus acidophilus has inhibitory activity against all E.coli (O157:H7) isolates with different dilutions (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32), while Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus plantarum have no effect against E.coli (O157:H7). The result showed the bacteriocin has inhibitory effect against E.coli (O157:H7), while organic acids and hydrogen peroxide haven’t any role in inhibition. The (MIC) value was (1/8) which inhibits the bacterial growth of isolates.

Analysis and testing of the most important factors affecting (COVID-19)
...Show More Authors

Factor analysis is distinguished by its ability to shorten and arrange many variables in a small number of linear components. In this research, we will study the essential variables that affect the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which is supposed to contribute to the diagnosis of each patient group based on linear measurements of the disease and determine the method of treatment with application data for (600) patients registered in General AL-KARAMA Hospital in Baghdad from 1/4/2020 to 15/7/2020. The explanation of the variances from the total variance of each factor separately was obtained with six elements, which together explained 69.266% of the measure's variability. The most important variable are cough, idleness, fever, headach

Effect of Variation of Degree of Saturation with depth on Soil–Concrete Pile Interface in Clayey Soil
...Show More Authors

Bearing capacity of a concrete pile in fine grained cohesive soils is affected by the degree of saturation of the surrounding soil through the contribution of the matric suction. In addition, the embedded depth and the roughness of the concrete pile surface (expressed as British Pendulum Number BPN) also have their contribution to the shear strength of the concrete pile, consequently its bearing capacity. Herein, relationships among degree of saturation, pile depth, and surface roughness, were proposed as a mathematical model expressed as an equation where the shear strength of a pile can be predicted in terms of degree of saturation, depth, and BPN. This study was conducted in fruit production lathe house of the Department Of Horticulture And Landscape Gardening, in the station (B), College Of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University Of Baghdad, Al-Jaadria for 8 months, began from 1/3/2019 to 1/9/2019 to investigate the responses of C35 Citrus rootstock to influence of foliar spraying of zinc and irrigation with smoking-water at 2 years old saplings. the study included two factors, first factor was three concentrations of Zinc Element Z0(0 mg.l-1), Z1(50 mg.l-1) and Z2(75 mg.l-1) that sprays at leave. The second factor was watering saplings with smoke-water in three concentrations S0(0 vol.vol-1), S1(0.1 vol.vol-1) and (0.2vol.vol-1), and their interaction. The experiment was fact

THE EFFECT OF USING GAMES IN DEVELOPING SOME CONCEPTS OF TRAFFIC SAFETY FOR FIFTH GRADE PRIMARY STUDENTS
...Show More Authors

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to preparing small games for fifth graders. And to identify the impact of these small games in developing some concepts of traffic safety for fifth graders. The two researchers used the experimental method to solve the research problem, and the research community was identified with students. The fifth grade of primary school in the province of Baghdad and a sample was chosen from the private Baghdad Primary School, which numbered (60) male and female students. They were distributed equally into two groups by simple random method (experimental and control groups). As for the most important conclusions reached by the two researchers, it is the presence of an effect of small games in developing some conce

Assessment of natural radioactivity levels and annual equivalent doses in some milk powdered samples for adults used in Baghdad
...Show More Authors

In this paper the specific activity of 238U, 232Th and 40K
radionuclides were determined by sodium iodide enhanced by
thallium NaI(Tl) detector and assessment the annual effective dose
in samples of powder milk from different companies such as
Almunaish, Seven Caw, Molty and Altunsa for adult available in
Baghdad markets. The specific activity of 40K has the greater value in
all the samples which is in the range of allowed levels globally that
suggested by UNSCEAR. The mean value of annual effective doses
were 0.121, 0.314775 and 0.305 mSv/y for 238U, 232Th and 40K
respectively.
