Background: Humeral diaphyseal fracture usually
heals with closed methods but when nonunion
develops then it needs surgical intervention in the
form of plating and bone grafting, intramedulary
nailing (open or closed simple or interlocking nails)
and external fixators (circular or one plane fixator).
In our unit we treated non union humeral
diaphyseal fracture with plating and bone grafting
shortening of fracture ends up to 4 to 5cm when

Recently two gene fusions, KIAA1549–BRAF and SRGAP3–RAF1 have been detected in a number of brain tumours. We report here our development and validation of RT-RQPCR assays to detect various isoforms of these two fusion genes in formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissues of medulloblastoma and ependymoma. Background: Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) is an autoimmune vesiculobullous mucocutaneous disease with life-threatening consequences. Rituximab (RTX) has recently emerged as an effective treatment for PV. Objectives: This study aims to determine changes in neutrophil and platelet counts for PV patients treated with RTX or corticosteroids combined with Imuran (azathioprine).
