Abstract. Shatt Al-Arab River was the most important tide river in Iraq, it suffered from neglect and lack of maintenance in the past decades. The river embankment is constantly exposed to erosion processes due to several factors, one of the most important of these factors is the movement of water currents due to the tidal energy coming from the Arabian Gulf. In this study, one dimension unsteady-state model was implemented to study river flood capacity simulation by using HEC-RAS (5.0.7) software in Shatt Al Arab River and its tributaries. The data included flow rate, water level records were collected daily from 2018 to 2020 at different stations along the mentioned river and its feeders, additionally, the considered flood discharge data was taken. These records were taken as boundary conditions for calibration and verification of the model, Furthermore, it used for operation Scenarios. The calibration result shows a good agreement between observed and predicted records with minimum root mean square error (RMSE) was equal to 0.128 with suitable Roughness coefficient value 0.029. The study conclusions indicate that Shatt Al Arb river banks for the southern part were unsafe against the flood in the spring tide case. Furthermore, the maximum safe discharge was estimated about 850 m3/s.
The Egyptian and Iraqi schools are one of the most important musical schools in the style of playing the oud. The influence of the style of these schools extended in the contemporary Arab world, and there were important names that emerged characterized with their style of playing. Thus, the ways of tuning the strings of oud varied between the two schools because of the difference in the ways of playing and the difference in the style of expression. The aim of the research was to identify the pluralism of the variable tunings of the strings of the contemporary Arab oud of the Egyptian and Iraqi schools, along the historical period extending from the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries to the present time. The oud has been classified i

The measurements were carried out by the Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment, in the Radiation Protection Center. The collection, removal and evaporation of the samples ranged from January to the end of March 2018. The results show the presents of concentration of 238U and 235U in soil samples and the rainwater samples. The conclusion of this work is the concentration of uranium in soil samples is more than recommendations by ICRP value of 1.9 μg /l. While all water sample

These metals induce the production of ROS which associated with an oxidative damage to DNA, proteins, and lipids. This study was conducted to assess the salivary levels of heavy metals, salivary oxidative status, oral immunological activity (salivary sIgA) and assessment of the oral findings among the workers of Al-Daura oil refinery in Baghdad city. Subjects, Materials and Methods: This study was done in Al-Daura oil refinery; samples consist of 60 workers involved in refinery processes (study group) and 20 non-workers (control group). The research is determined by a pivotal aim which is (knowing the aesthetic nature of the dialectical development in
A solid Phase Extraction (SPE) cartridges followed by HPLC-UV method is described for the simultaneous quantitative determination of benzidine (BZ) and its substituted 3, 3’-dichlorobenzidine (DCB) and 3, 3’-Dimethylbenzidine (DMB). The Benzidines were separated by liquid chromatography using a C-18 column with UV detector at wave length of 280nm. The mode of Flow was isocratic. The mobile phase was consisted of 75:25 methanol: water, column temperature 50C°, and Flow Rate 1.8ml/min. Calibration curves were linear (R2 = 0.9979-0.9995). LOD (26.36-33.67) µg/L, LOQ (109.98-186.11) µg/L, the Robustness (2.99-4.35), Ruggedness (2.93-3.65).Conditions of extraction by (SPE) cartridges were optimized, the resin used is Octadecyl silica (ODS

Tigris river is an important water source for irrigation and drinking in Iraq. This study was done during 2018 in Protection Center of the Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment using a high purity germanium detector. The resolution of (HPGe) at 2keV and 30% efficiency. The results of soil sample obtained showed that the effective activity concentration of 40K are ranged from 181.4 Bq/kg in sample S6 to 286.4 Bq/kg in S7. The research is dealing with the color articulation and its significance in the poetry of Hana Al-bawab, who employed the “color” in a special technique in her poetry. The research is trying to deal with the identification of the color and its aesthetic significance and function in the poetic context, as it determines its indication and interaction with the words next to it in the context.
