This paper performance for preparation and identification of six new complexes of a number of transition metals Cr (lII), Mn (I1), Fe (l), Co (II), Ni (I1), Cu (Il) with: N - (3,4,5-Trimethoxy phenyl-N - benzoyl Thiourea (TMPBT) as a bidentet ligand. The prepared complexes have been characterized, identified on the basis of elemental analysis (C.H.N), atomic absorption, molar conductivity, molar-ratio ,pH effect study, I. Rand UV spectra studies. The complexes have the structural formula ML₂X₃ for Cr (III), Fe (III), and ML₂X₂ for Mn (II), Ni (II), and MLX₂ for Co (Il) , Cu (Il).

Mixed ligand complexes of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) with metformin(MTF) as primary ligand and cysteine(Cys) as secondary ligand have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, atomic absorption, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility measurements, FTIR,UV-Vis ,1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectral studies. The elemental analysis, atomic absorption data reveal the formation of [1:1:1] [M:MTF:Cys] complexes.The electronic spectra and magnetic moment measurements reveal the presence of complexes in an octahedral geometry and the molar conductivity studies of the complexes indicate their non-electrolytic nature. Synthesis, Characterization And Biological Evaluation of Schiff Base And Ligand Metal Complexes of Some Drug Substances

The mixed ligand complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) with alanine and 8-hydroxyqinoline (Oxine) were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR ,spectra electronic, flam-AAS] along with conductivity measurements , solubility , melting point, magnetic susceptipibility.The synthesized complexes were tested in vitro for antimicrobial activity. The results obtained indicated that some of these complexes are more active than with others.

During 2011; 300 milk and white cheese samples were collected from Baghdad markets. Out of 200 staphylococcal isolates isolated from milk and white cheese samples, the predominant species was Staphylococcus aureus 97 isolates (48%), followed by S.chromogenes 82 (41%) and 21 (11%) S.epidermidis isolates. S. aureus isolates were DNase, coagulase, protease, urease, lipase, gelatinase and slime layer producers, other species were variable in the production of such virulence factors. S. chromogenes was the most prevalent isolated staphylococcal species from milk samples; while cheese samples contaminated mainly by S. aureus.
